Back at home, Leonardo made a telephone call and managed to get his cousin Dr. Brandon Elias, a member of the Medical Affairs Board, on the phone.

"Leo! Good to hear from you," said Brandon.

Leo squinted at the damnable contraption he was speaking into, the hollow, crackling voice never seeming as clear as he'd like. "And you, Brandon! Say, can I pay you a visit? Something has come up that I'd like to discuss with you. Best if done face-to-face."

"But of course, Leo! I have a light day at the office today, why don't you go ahead and stop on by?" he asked.

OOC: Did Brandon not attend the funeral then?

"Indeed I will. I look forward to it! Is there any time that is better than another?" Leo had furrowed his brow upon asking the question, though his cousin certainly couldn't see him.

Updated my post: We'll say that he did attend the funeral.

"The sooner the better. Now is fantastic, if you think you could make it."

Leo nodded, though again the person on the other end was likely to be blissfully unaware. "Sure thing, Brandon! I'll be by in a jiffy!"

Leo replaced the handset and then considered his options. Since everyone had apparently left, driving seemed to be his only choice.

Leo told Avery where he would be, and that he would call should his plans extend further than a visit with his cousin.

"Come in, have a seat. I hope you and Catherine are keeping well. I can't imagine what the both of you have gone through,"  he added, closing the door to his office. On a small side stable stood a fine crystal decanter and a few glasses. "Scotch?" he asked.
