Re: OOC 2

Is everyone waiting for someone else to post? Just wondering because I heard some gears grinding. I'm not being pushy Seeker! But I got to thinking that if everyone was being polite, waiting for everyone else, and nobody said anything, then we'd be doing nothing but polite OOC's for the next week. And no offence guys, I really like you all, and if this was just a social forum - awesome, you know, but nobody put up any absent notices. And I admit, I have held off waiting for other people to get theirs in...patiently...for me, and I jump on the posts that do come through like water in a desert, and love it all. I mean, you know this is all out of love, right? A gentle nudge, which Seeker will tell me off for later. But I am okay with that. Because Goddammit I'm addicted to this literary bitch, the sweet bosom of this wench of a story, and I'm not ashamed of it. Nor am I ashamed of this post. For Christ sake I'm only a man, a man with needs. And I don't think I'm alone in this, but I'll martyr myself to be the voice of the group. Yes, I'll do that for us, because somebody's just gotta. I know I run the risk of becoming " that guy", and I can definitely learn to someday be somewhat okay with that...maybe. But dammit, I'm just doin it, like Nike, like MJ, and like the many heroes in our histories who stood up for what they believe in, charged head first into danger and won...and mostly died, but won! Sweet valor! So stand up with me, Men. Walk hard to the nearest open window and with your manliest bravado you can muster, you just gotta yell " HEY! THESE POSTS ARE BARREN AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!"

Now don't just sit there, Man! Write! Post! You can doo eht!

Oh, my weekend's going fine Kirby, thanks for asking. Got b-day party's and whatn'ts, then some sweet FA. You? Wait, lemme guess...

POSTING! POSTING! You thought I was through?! I can do this all day! You won't hear the end of...

Hey I'll have to get back to you guys later. My wife tells me I've got other things I need to be doing. Have a good weekend!

Thoughts that never make it to post. It's a good thing I don't express my thoughts aloud. Finding out the ugly truth about me. So if you fancy yourself as a mindreader, go for the spoiler, but it aint pretty. You've been warned.

Really though, thank you and awe shucks. Can't wait for tomorrow. And lucky for me, your tomorrow comes tonight for me.

Anyone else got the theme from Patton in their heads? Thanks Max. Coulda been worse though. Could have had G.I. Joe in there - ah DAMMIT! Scratch that.

AND KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE!

The lead singer, Peter Garrett (Australian btw), became a politician here and looked after environmental affairs. True story. I guess he got tired of his bed burning.

I am slow, I know, so can someone explain this to me? I see posting about needing to post yet only Max and Kirby have posted since Seeker's last post. John/Alex - are you waiting for something? I know Orlando said he's busy...

Am I missing something?

YO JOE!

Lol, let's flip him for it. :)

Seeker, without telling us anything specific can you give us any info on how he used Manipulation? I'd like to learn to use it more, when appropriate, so maybe there's something we can learn from?

Re: OOC 2

Well, the first thing I would do is read the skill in the sorcery section and substitute spells for any powers you have.

He, at the minimum, added 3 levels of manipulation to his powers, each level of manipulation allowed him to add a power to himself in one action. What ever the cost of his power is, he would pay it for each level of manipulation. In this case he is only able to add powers to himself. So he couldn't have added the shield and the armor to himself and shot you guys.  Also take a look at how many targets you can add to a power.  So technically, if I have enough power points, I could blast everyone in the group, next round. Combat is lethal!!!!!!

Why do you have to be the difficult one, putting your role here and not in the Private Messages, hmmmm, hmmmm...

Re: OOC 2

I am just trying to keep from flipping to lots of different areas looking for information.

A PM is a Private Message.

Private Line is what you did? In the OOC thread.  Our OOC moves too fast to make private line usage for battle very effective.  Maybe I should create a Combat thread for this type of thing. Strike rank and stuff.

In reply to Max Jackson (msg #32):

Looks like a head to me. You can see an ear on the left. I should make you all aware that it's actually Seeker's head we're in, if you didn't already realize it. Now that we have a visual, we don't have to wonder what goes on in his head anymore. This is how he maneuvers his staff, his work week, his family. Pretty efficient I'd say.

I would have to disagree with you Max. I think the bullseye is probably the safest place to be. In the hall on the other hand...

Re: OOC 2

Orlando brought up a good point, if you have a power that could shield you from a blast, you could parry it. Like his force field power.  So with powers this could be parried.

Re: OOC 2

Hey Max, I won't be able to post until tomorrow morning but I do have a question. Did Max appear to do anything?  Move anywhere? Crouch? Point? Anything that might be a clue to his intentions? I know he's probably doing some mind trick but even if he were "staring at the the empty space where the door once stood" it could tell us something.

Maybe he's doing none of those things but thought I'd ask.
