House rule:
The core skill for your character concept receives a +1 to its target number.

The group leader should be a Sarariman, or at least have the Business skill. Just a friendly advice, that.
At the start of the game, you can choose the corporation you work for. Freelancing is another option, but almost guaranteed to result in a short life span.
