Since...  I see all auctions, as a point of fairness I will post my bids publically and as early as possible.  I will limit myself to changing my bids once and can only increase my current bids.  I will announce publically when i do so.

Actually, this is completely consistent with Blueblood's character.  It seems that some unknown outside force is making things happen for him...to the chagrin of many in the company!

I think half of the squad is nobility in some form or another.

it's not uncommon for mechwarriors to be nobles.  the parallel was drawn that they're like the knights of old, you had to be noble and rich to afford the armor to wear to be a knight, which was why commoners are virtually unheard of.

So what are the rest of us?
Lowly non-nobles what sit on top of a mech?

Just because someone is a noble and an officer doesn't make him a noble officer. Unless of course they sacrifice themselves for the company.

Crispin wasn't noble nor is Adam now.  He pays the bills with his gunfighting skills...and Leadership :)
