Listening to his comms he replied, +"No, no, no.  Just pull the remaining precision rounds from the magazine and fully load her with the regular rounds.  I'll save those couple of belts of ammo and add them to what I couldn't load in before for any special missions I need to take later."+

With an almost silent sigh he looked over to Camille who was downing a beer seemingly as fast as possible adding , "We took the spaceport and have fresh reinforcements...could be worse."

At most... The unit may only repair 10 tons of equipment / weapons.

There seems to be enough parts on the Union, to cover all the repairs for everything.  So players may throw dice to see if parts are available.

Being new Cade aimlessly wanders around the Mech bay looking to find whoever makes the repairs to these wondrous rigs.  Unfortunatly he pissed off the wrong man and only 1 LRM5 is available to repair his damaged one.  Nothing else... no armor...

Receiving a few more calls over his comms he looks up at the ceiling of the galley that they had all congregated in and he started shaking his head and answering back and forth questions that on his side amounted to a series of yes and no replies that ended with a surprised look on his face.

Big question is do I have the funds...didn't make any mech kills this last time and last I remember I didn't have the C-bills to buy it hence why even when I failed it didn't matter

One LRM in the LT will be 'down', and you'll start the mission with 18 damage.

It more of a matter of 18 points of damage from the last mission that is not repaired.  Ending last mission you looked like this.  Just short the armor repairs by 18 points, and presume one of the LRM's in the LT was not repaired and that's your ready status.

Cade watches the repairs of his mech and the movement of armor around the mech.  Since he could not find the armor replacement, he was forced to move armor around, making the right arm particularly vulnerable.  This makes Cade cringe.  With a thought he asks one of the technicians as nicely as possible if they would be so kind to swap out the broken LRM5 in the RT with the working one in the arm?  At least the one in the arm would be more protected from any hits.

The techs dont really mind, but they're sort of over worked, since Blue Blood is having them work non stop with out breaks or real rest to get the company's mechs up and running.  After they get some rack time, they're willing to humor Cade.

(How ever, you will get into combat before they get to work on that swap for you)

I would suggest reparing the torsos to full.  YOu have Ammo, and critical systems there.  So that means you have to short the arms and legs 18 points of repairs.  Even if you do no repairs on the right arm, that's on 10 points and another 8 points of damage will have to be allocated between left arm and right leg.  You might want to spread that 'damage' around.

Suggest no repairs on left arm, leaving it at 8 armor (4 damage)
Suggest partial repairs to right leg, bringint it up to 11 armor (to take a PPC hit or pair of lasers) (7 damage)
Leaves repairs on right arm, leaving it with 5 armor (7 damage).

It's going to be light armor no matter how you look at it, at least you cane take a PPC or a couple of lasers, with out losing body locations.

Cade listens to the techs and one particularly bright one comes up with a suggestion to better displace the missing armor.  Seeing the brilliance for what it is, Cade agrees fully and then does his best to help out the repair crew by bringing water, snacks and other goodies while they work endlessly.  He also tries to acquire some alcohol for the tech crew if possible.

camille was a little more than just tipsy as she raised her head and glared at the speakers, she was however, not too drunk to function, and the adrenalne burst from battle would clear her system quite quickly.

She finished her current beer, and made her way to her cicada.

If you made the rolls, the repairs were made, even if you didnt have the C-Bills.

Devlin, i'll give you the choice between deploying in your whitworth or oliver's wolfhound.  I know you were looking at the mech at one point.  With the SRM6 down, it's looking to be a pretty good option.

Mission should be starting... soon.

Define 'this', with a chapter number.

If you mean chapter '8', yes you do, but you only have a day or so of down time, which is not really enough to have the experience 'settle in', or to do auctions or anything neat.  So.  Yes you do, just not right now.


(Part of it, is i'm out of practice to do bookkeeping and need a little time to reassimulate how.  Eight was a really really really long chapter, maybe the longest weve had.)

OOC:  Sorry to be late to the party, but been busy...writing on my phone now....

If anyone had any doubtsa that the company commander's head could get really big, those were summarily refuted.  In the days following the operation to take the Starport, Captain Hinklemeyer-Schmidt went to an extreme to let everyone know how HE had made the right strategic call and how HE had directed his unit into successful action.  It was, as if, no one else were there and the higher brass--including the late captain of the company--had nothing to do with anything.  On top of that, he had been sure to describe the noble conduct of the whole engagement with the gentlemanly negotiations at the end of the action for the enemy to withdraw, making it an extended, perfumed duel of some sort.

All of this rubbed the rest of the company, needless to say, the wrong way.  To add to the humiliation, the captain had been sure to illustrate fully how he had helped to protect his unit...to extent that other members of the brigade took to calling the 6th Recon Company "Hinklemeyer-Schmidt's toy soldiers".  They were...probably...not happy.  All of this was possible, of course, because the captain's own mech was unscathed and he seemingly had little to do.

To the relief of many, after a little while, the captain was conspicuously absent.  Those in the know understood he was now...with his latest success...being afforded the opportunity to join some more of the activities of the military brass--in particular, a few pretentious events of the exiled nobility finding themselves in a mercenary unit.  Many just hoped he would stay there.
