+ + + Shadowrun[Backslash]EotE + + +

I have a lot of irons in the fire right now, but one I keep going hot on is a game a GM tried to start awhile ago. A Shadowrun like game based on EotE characters, I think it would work and work well. Easier to run than SR5 which has got to be the most cursed game on Rpol.

Anyhow looking for interest, but mostly what GMs would see as problems, challenges and possible hooks or plot points centered around a group of PC's set in Coruscant (Which is obviously the opposite of EtoE but still in the heart of the games name if it was a lower level "1313" crime syndicate branching out soon after the the Empire has taken full control of Senate.

In my mind it would be the same irony as Rome, or Washington D.C. or any central city, the heart of recidivism, activism, anarchy and outcry (to name a few) comes from the inside and not from the fringe outer-worlds. This would be a small group, with a leader NPC with deep ties to former power-mongers on the Imperial Center.

The syndicate (Not Black Sun Maybe Black Sun Need Accounting Skill Check To See If Black Sun) is currently taking up jobs that go beyond and below the call of duty. Not simply knocking over I.S.B. intel-checkpoints, or hacking central banking hubs, but starting to do damage. Specific targets, beyond cash or credit.

I believe a Shadowrun like game would be a nice niche for EotE on the pol, even though it is the ecumenopolis is could be great fun, with a need for everything in my book from a Slicer to a Mechanic a Scholar to a Face, even ex-Military, pilots and AoR players. Just about everything save Force users which is the only thing on the black list right now. Force-Users and Assassin Droids.... Comments, plot hooks, heist ideas all welcome.

Serious Questions?

Year of Game: 3 BBY ? Too late too early?
Level? 1313 after failed game with awesome concept art and almost to bottom?
Obligation? Not looking for sociopaths, how a baddie game works? NO ASSAASSIN DROIDS THAT MEANS YOU BOB.
The Force? Against it right now, Rogue One worked without a lightsaber, Right?
Really Coruscant? I don't see this as a problem, PC's could leave if they had to. A maifa game is always set in Chicago or New York why does EotE have to be in Fargo N.D.?

+ + + Shadowrun[Backslash]EotE + + +

One of the significant differences between Shadowrun and EotE is the scale of competency of starting characters.  Shadowrun is intended to focus on very capable people with on average about a half a dozen 'strengths' that exceed the level one expects to find in normal civilians even before you get to the supernatural or cybernetic capabilities.

EotE is exactly the other way around each character is good at most at 2 things, and even those they are no better than your typical task specialist NPC, to get the shadowrun feel out of EotE you would probably need to start with around 200-300 xp, which would also help your game not suffer from the most common problem on RPOL of never being able to advance beyond the introductory stages of any particular game.
