First off, I anticipate a different choice for systems being suggested. I'm sorry, no, I really want to play with one of these two systems as the conduit. :/ I know there are much better systems. These are just the two I'd have
fun with GMing.
That said, when I say god, we're talking on par with the "worst" of Superman, but not NEARLY omnipotent. Still well beyond any mortal power. Certainly though, only human in an identifiable anthropomorphic way.
The game would be played atypical to a traditional D&D 3.5 game; even epic. The attitude of PVP would be allowed, although it would be indirect at worst, but not required. Basically organic opposition/cooperation.
Each "event" would have three phases, with no clear beginning or end, but all co-current.
- The Social phase would essentially be what some like to call "roleplaying" talking; interacting with other gods and mortals, throwing parties or hosting shows.
- The Command phase would be a private development of your character's ambitions and HOW they were going about fulfilling them. This can be one sentence (although most likely you'll add to that) or several posts of a couple paragraphs. Try to be succinct, if you can, though.
- The Resolution Phase would be the clash or collaboration of gods' command. This may be one trim note of success or failure, or it could be a developing contest or miracle.
WHAT would the game be about? That's entirely reactionary. I'll have between two and six sleeper 'players' that I'll control. Those gods will make alliances and cause feuds, like I imagine a PC of that domain would.
That said, would anyone be interested in this idea.
