I'm considering starting a mature game focused on a team that works for Morgrave university running expeditions.  It would likely focus on Xendrik, but they may occasionally go other places.

I feel like it would be open to naval/aquatic encounters, wilderness/jungle type stuff, and also ancient ruins.

I also want to focus on the fall of the Giant empires and the war between the giants and dal Quor, so psionics would likely be a big part of it.

wondering how many people would be interested, and also what people thought would be a good starting level.  I originally thought 3rd, but I am not sure if that's too low.

I'm interested. As for starting level, I'm always sceptical when players suggest a certain level. From my experience that level will almost always correlate with a certain build (often rule bending) that they have in mind. So I'll let that decision rest with the gm that knows what they want to put the players through.

It certainly sounds interesting. I always thought Xendrik had the potential to be a great setting, but never really got the chance to do anything with it. Count me as interested.

As far as starting level, I would say something in the 3-5 range would give the squishier builds a little cushion without being OP. I favor closer to the 3 but really anything is fine.
