IC: Pathfinder 2e Playtest
The PDF for Pathfinder 2e drops on August 2nd. I have a physical copy on order in case I can convince my home group to take a shot at it, as well.
Anyway, with about a month before the rules are freely available, I'm starting to seriously think about running a game of 2e to see how it shapes up. What I'm interested in right now are suggestions on what kind of game to run.
Some possibilities include:
1. One of the APs that doesn't require a huge amount of bookkeeping (like Kingmaker). I'd streamline it, most likely, as the APs tend to have a lot of "trash" fights in them.
2. An "end of the world" type scenario involving devils, a betrayed king, and the PCs running for their lives. I've run it before, though not in PBP, and it starts linear and then goes sandbox pretty quickly. There's a metaplot, but it requires motivated PCs to get anywhere after the initial "run for your lives" part.
3. A Not!Polynesian campaign that starts with a shipwreck and being stranded on an island surrounded by storms.
4. I could also just run the scenarios out of Doomsday Dawn. I actually might run that as a second game, anyway.
5. Something else entirely.
So, I don't really need an interest check for this one as I'm sure there will be plenty. What I'm looking for is feedback on what games people actually want to see happen.
