IC: Play different aspects of the same character

I just wrote up a one-page game where all of the players are different aspects of a single character's personality.  The group agrees on who the character is and what kind of stressful situation they are in, and then everyone works together (or not) to deal with that situation in whichever way each personality aspect thinks is best.

Anyone want to take this for a test drive with me?

Like the Pixar movie Inside Out where the characters were all different emotions of one person?

Using free-form? custom rules? something else?

Inside Out is a good reference point, but it's not exactly the same - you're not just an emotion, you're a set of connected beliefs and goals.  Bluebeard's Bride might be a closer point of comparison, although my game isn't quite that extreme.

Homebrew rules which I'm trying to test out here.  The character's interaction with the outside world is largely freeform; the rules define who the players are, and what happens if they disagree on how the character should act.

Yes, I'm familiar with that game.  Different focus though - that one is full on, cinematically exaggerated multiple personalities, whereas my game is different parts of the same overall personality.  A closer game to compare would be Bluebeard's Bride (though not nearly as NSFW).

I'd be really intrigued to see that concept from Bluebeard's Bride used for other games in other ways, though I think I'd need to hear more about what you hope to do with it first.

The exact situation is determined by the group as part of game setup.  You could stick with the BB scenario and play a suspicious bride on her wedding night if you wanted to, or do something completely different, like a space colonist dealing with a crisis, or the President on their first day in office.  The focus of the game is on how the main character handles their internal struggles to navigate the situation.
