Is anyone playing First Edition 30th Ann. Star Wars West End here? Does anyone have any interest?

I'd be interested in a 30th anniversary system game. I bought the books a few months ago and have been hoping for someone to run it on here.

Star Wars West End I.C.

Not a set game yet. But was checking if anyone was actually playing the game. If there is enough interest to run a game.

Anyone have a theme they would like to visit, well let it be known. I suspect it would also be the easiest to teach for those wanting to play Star Wars but not owning D20 or FFG. I am always surprised how many people RTJ with absolutely no rules but still want to play, it would be nice to have a simple system that can be taught.

I was just reading my copy this morning. :)

Wraith Squadron, Original Triolgy Era. A disparate group is brought together because of their skills as criminals, pirates, slicers, and other various ne'er-do-wells to infiltrate, spy, blow stuff up, and also fly fighters for the Rebel Alliance. Everyone's reason for joining would be their own. They're angry, they want vengence, or maybe just fame and fortune, but ultimately they're on the side of toppling the Empire.

This would give us opportunitites for roleplaying, melee combat, and starship combat. :)

Love the WEG version of Star Wars. Still have most of the original books as well as the 30th boxed set.

Star Wars West End I.C.

I am aiming my theme at a kind of AoR game, based on a supply line of ships trying to escape and find a new planet to establish a base on in Wild Space just before the battle of Yavin, after of learning of the Death Star. While being chased down by a fanatical Imperial Admiral and his or her Fleet.

Focus on space combat, ground combat, exploration, sabotage, boarding measures and other Rogue One type missions. Most of all surviving. The supply ships lead by a MC 80 or MC 30 Scout carry medical supplies, food, and most of all exiles of the Republic. Scientists, doctors, engineers, specialized droids even lawyers and politicians along with raw materials and just enough building equipment to set up a new non-military base.

Explore, Survive, Expand take down a Cymoon Refit Star Destoryer if you are lucky.

Each P.C. would have their own Fighter/Bomber or U-Wing of equal value including droid NPC. Mostly pilots with varying martial skills or technical or engineering. All PC's would have some background in space piloting, even if it's docking loaders or co-piloting a pleasure yacht.

Most combat would be narrative but I have simple mapping templates that could show you as squares of varying color in space.

NO FORCE USERS. A Rogue One game with a mixture of Robo-Tech's fight back to Earth.

Oo, a space combat/fighter themed game is something that doesn't get a lot of play...

Give me a little time but everyone who has posted will be notified first. Amazed at all the interest. And all supplements are online for free. May the Force be with you but make sure your blaster trusty blaster is just as close.

Re: Star Wars West End I.C.

Of course another option is the Far Orbit campaign. Although I and hesitant to give a Letter of Marquee to a bunch of Rebels. Rogue One Rogue Trader could be fun, but I want this group to have more to risk and role-play by either fighting in the War or deciding to Flee. Although "Far Orbit" can be run with moral implications its all up to the players.

Simply looting the Mid-Rim and racking up slave dancers while stealing xenos tech is not in the stars....

What you have described sounds great, either the escaping fleet or Far Orbit. But I have to say, pretty disappointed about the lack of slave dancers in the fleet. Those Dungans can really bust come moves on a flight deck dance off.

And second on the Force users. Loved playing one but they can get extreme when they grow into the skills.

Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

Personally I'd prefer the first option of flying fighters, sabotaging the Empire and maybe getting away with a Star Destroyer. If we can pull that last bit off we can name our own price really be of use to the Rebellion.
