Interest in reviving an old freeform Final Fantasy VIII game

Hi all,

First time I've been back on RPoL in quite a few years, some of you may remember me as Suteki before I had a name change :)

I was thinking of reviving an old Final Fantasy 8 game I ran many years ago. Essentially the idea is that the game takes place after the events of the main story with the characters playing the role of various new members of SeeD doing missions around the world, fighting bad guys, the usual deal.

It previously ran on for quite some time and had many thousands of posts but, due to some issues with my time commitment at the time, finally petered and died out.

Would there be any interest if I were to run such a game again?

Story wouldn't be the same as the last time, merely the setting.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions always welcome!

First post here in years so apologies for any rambling above!

Depends on the system. I've always wanted to try FF3e from http://www.ffrpg.net.

I'd be very interested in this. What system did you have in mind?

So much yes.
I'd love to play, regardless of system.

I'd be curious to try  out something like this, since FFVIII is one of my favourite games, but the thread title speaks of "reviving" - does that means that new players will be taking up characters which are already midway through a plot, or what? A bit of explnation on that and similar details might be useful.
