Can you survive in Space Prison?
The Last War have ended, and the Pan-Terran Meritocracy has emerged as the one, true world government of Earth and its colonies. World peace is finally in sight, and a golden age of mankind seems just around the corner. There's just one problem.
You're not wanted.
In order to create a truly peaceful society, anyone who has been deemed a threat to the New World Order has been imprisoned. The reasons why are varied and many. Criminals from before the Last War share cells with soldiers and professors. Priests and poisoners break bread with police and politicians. The vast majority, however, committed only one crime: being predisposed to crimes. Evil has been measured, and those mentally or genetically predisposed to evil have been separated from the flock. These millions of innocent people were considered the same as murderers and arsonists: not needed.
These throngs of "dangerous individuals" could not be held on Earth, for the scars of the Last War still marred the world and all the land was needed for the Meritocracy's chosen. The colonies of Earth, the rebels and the loyalists alike, had no need for such an amount. Thus, the Meritocracy looked back in Earth's history for an answer.
The Gehenna Project, a starship of immense size, built for the colonization of planets beyond the Solar System. Larger than its closest cousin thrice over, the Gehenna was a project of human ambition and desperation fueled by the Last War. The Pan-Terran Meritocracy, however, saw the Gehenna and found the solution they were searching for. Like the colonization of Australia in the 18th century, the Gehenna would become a prison ship, and sent beyond the Pleiades Cluster. With the dangerous elements of society gone from the Meritocracy's sphere of influence, a golden age could truly begin for humanity.
And thus, you began your life sentence on the Gehenna.
