D&D 3.5-Strange classes or races

Based on an inquiry in the looking for a GM thread I want to run a game starting in the Sinister Secrets of the Saltmarsh.  I want to make it so there are NO core classes or core races.  I am going to be leaning towards water modules of old classics and try to take it as high as I can.

Since I will be looking for out of the ordinary classes I want to limit it some so as not to be too complicated for me and others as well.  That means no psionics or TOB classes, though feats and races are fine.

Would there be interest in this.

So I am clear this isn't going to be a pirates game, though there may be some of it some times.  It will take place both above and below the water (I hope).

I am thinking about starting at level 3, does this sound like something people would be interested in?

Game system is 3.5 no pathfinder...

So you have banned the two easiest to understand alternate magic systems?

So Tome of Magic, Magic of Incarnum, and the classes in the front of each of the Completes is the class list? Or were you planning on a lot of homebrew?

No core Races, what about templates to those, races with level adjustment or monster classes?

Yes I have banned them.

Yes to all those classes could be available. No homebrew at all either.

Yes to template and monster classes, course one may be behind the others with them for a little while.

Sounds good.  I have a few ideas that could work based on stuff allowed.  A higher starting level might open up more options, but 3rd is fine.

When you say no psionics, does it include soulknife? They use psionics like warlocks use arcane magic.

I am going to say no to the soul knife.  I might as well say also that I won't accept a truenamer either.
