V20 elders in a modern era game
I had a thought come to me about a possible game idea, and I was curious to see if anyone had any ideas for it, or possible ways it wouldn't work.
The game would follow a small group of elder kindred who awaken in the modern era, coming from an unusual torpor. They would be confronted with a time period they have no knowledge of and a city already fully populated with vampires who have no knowledge of them.
The idea would be to explore the difficulties individually powerful vampires would face in a world that is far more capable of killing them than ever before. Even elders can die to packs of vampires, or concentrated gunfire. So they would have to basically try to find a way to survive before the city discovers who they are, and comings howling after them.
Was thinking characters in the middle elder range, not methuselahs but definitely centuries old. Maybe cap disciplines at 6 or so, but allow them to be from a variety of eras and locations. Sort of envisioned a viking gangrel and an Arabian lasombrah next to a crusader ventrue or a renaissance toreador. something like that.
I also considered some sort of blood magic at play that keeps them working together, like an enforced vaulderie or something along those lines.
