Prowlers & Paragons is a little known SHRPG that has a lot going for it. For me, it strikes the right balance between granularity and narrative focus. At its core it uses a d6 pool (counting successes) for its singular mechanic. In some aspects its similar to Supers! REd. In other aspects it's similar to Icons in that you don't have every power listed on your sheet, but have to stunt them as necessary with meta-points. The game plays quickly and there's a built-in dice roller here on the site.
For those that don't own the book (it's $5 on DTRPG), there's the Quickstart issue and ten pre-gen characters on the company's
website.
I'm thinking of running a fast-and-loose campaign world that's four-color in background with lots of the standard tropes so we can just jump in with common comic book assumptions and you don't need a massive info dump on the world background. Example: we'll just start with the assumption you're already a team and get right into it. Long drawn out character creation and team-building doesn't work for me in PbP.
