[IC] GURPS

Looking to see what interest there is in the larger community for two GURPS games. Any interest in either (or both), feel free to let me know.

Explorers in the Interwar Period
A 100 point game in which the characters are hired by a British noble to explore various nifty places around the world - pyramids, the Amazon, etc. Opponents will not only include mundane threats - traps, natives and the like - it will also incorporate subtle supernatural dangers. It would be heavily impacted by found footage movies (Troll Hunter, The Pyramid, As Above, So Below, etc), as well as the Indiana Jones books and films.

Accidental Time Travelers
A 75 point game in which the characters are thrown back in time to the medieval period and must survive using their wits and abilities. On the down side, it's a violent era and most people in the modern world are largely ignorant of how to survive it; on the other, anyone with a modern grade school education is likely to be among the most well-educated individuals in the medieval world. I imagine this game would be influenced by movies like Kingdom of Heaven and Timeline.

[IC] GURPS

I'm up for the first like crazy (I grew up on Indy movies). The second, on the other hand, not even with a 10-foot laser pole :P

[IC] GURPS

I think I'll wait for a few months before I do anything. Maybe it's the summer slow-down at work, but there doesn't seem to be a ton of interest at the moment. :/

What edition of GURPS?  I only have 3rd, and I've joined some 4e games and found the conversions to be... well, a lot more trouble than I was told it would be.

Otherwise, though, I would be up for either concept, probably leaning towards the first.

The first sounds awesome (preferably 4e) now that things are looking to calm down in life.

As a person who has used both editions, even in my heyday, I don't think I would ever have told you that, at least not deliberately. If I ever told anyone that, it was when I had Dunning Kruger Disease. Sucks you had that experience.

Re: [IC] GURPS

I'll definitely start the first, then, since that seems to be the more popular game (by far). It won't be for another week at the very earliest, and quite possibly a bit longer (I'm in Mexico, where the internet is questionable and the power plugs are few-and-far-between). I've got a game already created (that's called foresight, kiddies), but I've had a few changes of heart in how to do things, so I need to make those changes prior to adding a link. Watch this space!

Fourth. I cant (well, I can - let's call it wont) help everyone who needs assistance in creating a GURPS 4e character. But for Calclypsichore? I'd move the heavens and at least six continents. Not sure I can handle Antarctic cold though. ;)
