New Colony/Settlement Game

So, I've been bouncing around an idea for a colony/settlement game, but I want the players to be leaders rather than just standard adventurers. So, I was searching for a system that would fit this and I came across Reign.

I've been reading through the rules, and it seems like it could fit this game relatively well. Does anyone have much experience with this ruleset? If so, my thought was each character would be in charge of their own "company", with the settlement itself as another "company". The players would have to balance pursuing their own goals, with advancing the new settlement.

Would anyone be interested in this sort of game? Also, are there any other systems that might fit this style of game better?

Color me intrigued as well, I'll have to look up Reign as I've never heard of it.

It's a system by Greg Stolze, you can find it easily if you google for it. It uses the One Roll System, which I've never heard of before, but is interesting and relatively easy to learn. It's a variant on dice pools ala d6 and d10 systems.

The part that really drew me to it was the company mechanic that's built into the system. The setting presented in the book doesn't do much for me. I'd probably like to put the game in a generic fantasy setting, or one of the standard D&D settings.
