Thinking about starting a Pathfinder campaign. Most likely lower level. The players would all meet up around a hub area that is fleshed out. This would also aid in bringing in new players as time goes on.

What do you have in mind for structure? Plot-driven, similar to an adventure path, sandbox, or something else? What's this hub like? Is it a wilderness area, a city, or what?

As general advice on starting a Pathfinder game (you will certainly have plenty of interest), make sure you clearly outline the sources you're allowing and any house rules.  If you want particular assumptions made about alignments, etc., also make those clear.  Also, if you're not using Golarion, you should put together some info on what you intend to use for a setting.

Personally, I've had bad luck with attrition in PF games.  That might be me as a GM, it might be something about what I'm trying to run, or it may be something else entirely.

In reply to NowhereMan (msg # 2):

This guy's asking the correct questions. Not entirely sure what I'd be signing on for. Played a fair bit of Pathfinder, and it strikes a cool balance. But do you have a hook?

Your hub area is fleshed out, you say. How? What would I be signing on for?

I can tell you, as someone who runs a rather eccentric Pathfinder Homebrew, that it's going to depend entirely on what you're offering and how you present it.

So essentially the world is in a recovery phase from a great evil. Most people have isolated themselves and become ignorant of what exists outside their "bubble". Being an adventurer makes you more or less like Bilbo Baggins leaving the Shire. The game would be more sandbox then adventure path. Most of the people you would be dealing with would be other adventures who left before you did.
