IC M &M 2e Freedom City meets Voyager game
I guess my question is this:
RP personalities aside, how do you make the ensigns feel unique mechanically? Won't they all essentially be equipped with the same general gear (phaser, triquarter, cmmunicator, ect), and then just have a spread of skills. Sure you can make one or two aliens and say they have some extra strength or empathy or the ability to hold their breath.
But more or less the way they roll out is going to come down to 5-10pts on equipment, some stats, a few feats, and then where they'd like to place their skills.
PL 8 feels like a lot of points for what mostly must be skill-oriented characters. But maybe that's just me.
