Re: CHAPTER 1: The Crowns Darkest Jewel

In awe at the ability of the group to teleport this many people to his location, but he only allows him self a moment it was now time to get off this station.

Ignoring the moaning of the monkey man, Huoshui rushes towards Lee and the other transparent and in-pain. Noticing Kairos on the way. "We need a pilot to get this thing moving. Send them his way." He points to the armed monkey, continuing to rush.

When he gets there he will try to help Lee and others.

From his elevated position Kairos address the crowd.

"People, we're safe for now but we're not out of the woods just yet! We need a pilot to sail this ship out of here. Those with any piloting skills, front and centre! NOW!"

He jumps down and strides towards the four armed, armed monkey, without fear or hesitation.

Raven looked about in a bit of a daze, unsure of how he ended up running toward a ship to being suddenly in one. That didn't matter now, and he knew it, giving his head a shake to clear the confusion from it. When he heard a call for pilots, the big man holstered his gun and stepped foward as instructed.

"Call sign's Raven, former Space Marine Corps., and current pilot. Direct me to the controls, and I'll fly us outta here."

Re: CHAPTER 1: The Crowns Darkest Jewel

Lee groaned some and shook his head. "I'm alright." he looked to his friend. "nnn if we are going to go anywhere fast we need some one good with correspondence.... this is.... going to hurt..." He uses his magic to grow some sort of bio-tech harness around the mans chest, it seams to stabilize him. But using magic to fix paradox is usually a very very very bad idea....  unless it's with quintessence and prime, then it's just a fairly bad idea.....

Lee takes 3 aggravated damage and collapses to the floor in pain, thrown back some by
the paradoxical energies... one of his legs and his head actually sinking into the ship (taking up the same space) as he lays there groaning, coughing some. "I was right....."

The guy sits up looking down at the harness and then at lee "Idiot, you could have killed yourself."

"fuck it...." says the monkey as he makes his way to the others... and nods to raven in approval (from one four armed creature to another?  maybe he thinks raven is a construct lol).  "This way to the bridge." With that... in a hurry to get the hell out of there, he quickly leads them to the bridge. The controls are a bit odd... seaming to just be two spheres that respond to though, magic, and movement.

Marvelled by the act of sacrifice, performed by Lee. "Lee has placed hope in you. I shall tend to him and the others. Seems you have a job else where." Points towards where the monkey and co went. "Get going we aren't out of trouble yet." He says to the now harnessed Correspondence wielder.

With that he turns back to Lee, trying to pull him up and/or use life, prime and quintessence to aid him. What ever seems right of Lee's chi flow. Aiding him in anyway he can.

Lee tries to stop huoshui by disrupting his foci. "Nooo..." he groans string to sit up but his other arm keeps slipping into the ship. "Don't try and help me like that, I just need time.. or" he looks down to a odd looking creature rubbing up agents him... "or a grateful little friend...." he adds giving a weak smile... and looks to Huoshui "Paradox is a crule mistress... trying to fix it... espeshaly what you caused, with magic just makes things worse... but i had to try and take the paradox myself." It seams what few familiars are on the ship, about half of them come to lee and ether rub agents him or nibble at his flesh a little. He just lays back down relaxing while they do so.

Huoshui takes the hint. Stepping back and sitting by Lee. "I can understand that feeling my friend" Resting his wooden arms on his crossed legs.

"You have made some friends. Maybe you will escape this without scarring." He laughs while watching the familiars doing their work. "You did well and I am sure our friends can finish the job." He says looking to the direction of what he assumed must be the bridge.

"You and your friend have saved many lives this day. This is recorded and will never be forgotten." Looking around and seeing all of the people who had been ported here, taking in both the achievement of it all and the horror at those who were lost.

Re: CHAPTER 1: The Crowns Darkest Jewel

Lee's aquaitness moves to the bridge while Lee rests. Most of the wounded Lee saw are on the ship.. .but some arn't... not quite everyone made it there just wasn't enough room, as it is there packed in quite tight. There is two or three instances of people inside other people or the wall of the ship even, that are being help by some one that apparently knows the proper spheres to fix the problem. The naked lady they fought is there to on a stretcher with her weaons and a blanket thrown over her. Amaphutha was also there tending to the wounded.

Many people have brought up comunicators linked to the ship or other ships, all wanting to see whats going on outside.... evenhandedly the ship itself displays a large monitor showing whats outside.

The docking arm they are on has broken off the station and they are adrift along side it... one of the other docked ships is eaten out by acid thorns, while the damage to the station looks far worce on the outside than it seamed on the inside.

More importantly that odd swell of glowing energy on the bottom of the vivo is huge and the ships around it are being forced to retreat.

Raven looked at the odd controls, sighed to himself, then placed a hand each on an orb. Concentrating, the Splicer tried to get the ship to move under his will, and away from the Station.

Re: CHAPTER 1: The Crowns Darkest Jewel

The whole ship shakes, painful screaching sounds of metal on metal, as Raven tries to get use to the odd controls and pilots the ship backwards through a loading arm and into the dock.

Thankfully the evacuation ship had left, and there was likely no time for another to dock. So the people sucked out into space before the force field kicked in or crushed by the ship where probably going to die anyway.

(it was a spectacular botch o.o)

After that first 'mishap' he gets enugh of a fill for the controls to get them moving, however the impact has dropped the stealth of the ship and the jelly fish like interceptors are now chasing it.

Being throw about a bit by the sudden crash, Huoshui manages to remain somewhat seated.

Seeing the panic and fear in peoples eyes, he decides to act. Standing up he makes a quick check to the naked lady they had fought. Just making sure she still lives and can find a path to make up for what she has done. With this done he goes to have words with Amaphutha.

"I am glad to see you made it." He said patting her on the shoulder. "I am afraid we have confirmed the vision, the beast arrived. I require your help in organising everyone, I have great trust in you."

"People should learn to trust the words of a dragon, they are the keepers of gaia's memory and are wiser than any other of earths creatures." She shakes her head "Though I'm afraid of while you trust me, I am not sure everyone will... regardless of form." Her body shifts, something that you cn tell is a good bit painful, she shrinks down slowly into a human form though. Simple robes from from her fur and sandles from her foot pads. And though turned human she still has the horn and the large wings. On a side note, she looks like she has some middle eastern descent in her.

Re: CHAPTER 1: The Crowns Darkest Jewel

"And you think my new hair style and limbs are going to be comforting to people?" he says as he brushes his wooden fingers through his grass like hair.

He looks her in the eye with full seriousness. "Your form is not what matters. It is heart and soul that will truly win people over." He pauses. "Take which ever you feel comfortable in, mind not what others feel. When you learn to be comfortable then others will."

To be fully honest he had little experience with Fera or shape-shifter kind. But her whole attitude and what ever had caused this was most irritating to him. Hopefully this could be helped.

With that he grabbed her hand and rushed to a high place somewhere that they might be seen by all. He was going to try to get everyone's attention and try to calm people down and explain the situation.

She nods some, she don't seam all that modivated but followes and she returns to the crinos form. Along the way she stops to help a dying person, she reaches down laying her hand apon his chest. The mans eyes roll back in his head as he gives a pleasant moan, energy rippling over his form he's soon healed completely and blinks looking up in a confused by pleasant haze.

Re: CHAPTER 1: The Crowns Darkest Jewel

Amazed at her healing ability, he nods back to her in approval. Using Do to leap somewhere high up. Getting to somewhere so that everyone could see him.

Right Huoshui time to organise the panicked citizens. Hoping that his acrobatic leaping would be enough to grab most people's attention he began with a shout, "I am Huoshui of the Akashic order, Student of Taisho Sōshin and with my friend Lee's help have brought you all here. I ask that we all remain calm, fear and panic will only cause our downfall. We have enough skilled people here to tend to our wounded and get us away from this event. All those with knowledge in the healing arts I ask that you gather to that corner." He points to one end of the bay. "I ask everyone else to remain calm and if possible seated. If you have injured do not fear, I and others shall make our way through everyone and get them the treatment they need." Public speaking was not his thing but he was one of the probably few people who could make their way to such a height and get heard. Throughout one hand holding him in place and the other making the sign of the buddha.

With that said he awaited the crowds reaction, he could only hope for the best.

Re: CHAPTER 1: The Crowns Darkest Jewel

The peace of buddha rote helps a grate deal in calming the crowd, the speech seams to least get people to stop panicking .... but for the most part there still quite uneased... particularly the wounded or people related to the wounded.

Some people from, mostly from the outer planets, recognize the name Taisho Sōshin and are quite revealed to hear one of his students is there.... he hasn't taken many so if Tasisho can trust this person it's enough for many of these religious types to put there life in one of his students hands.

Raven winced at the sound of the crash.

"Oops... Let's try that again."

Raven adjusted his hands on the controls, and tried to get the ship moving in the right direction. He had no idea if the craft had weapons, so his best hope, and that of those on this ship, was that it was faster than it's pursuers.

Re: CHAPTER 1: The Crowns Darkest Jewel

The man who helped Lee gets to the bridge and is directed to some other controls... "eh... this is a bit odd..." after messing with them a bit "Ok i'm going to punch in some coordinates keep on them and we will be fine." On the screen before raven comes up several vectors making a tunnel of sorts for him to fly through.

"ok here goes nothing...."

Lines of energy move outward from his station spreading through the ship inside and out. The energy keeps building until it's released all at once and a large votex of energy builds up in fount of the ship and engulfs it. The ship now folding space is soon aproching 1/10th the speed of light, and leaves the jellyfish in it's dust.

The guy groans a bit and seams a little warn out by the feat. "nnn wow... got us all the way there in one go.... it's going to take us ... I would say 5 hours... if that's to much I can take a rest and switch off with you in a bit?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While that's going on down bellow a message comes through.
<All ships, this is the  CCG Dreadnoughts Zeus and Artemis, stay clear of coordinates *blalbalba* we are not slowing down our approach. I repeat stay clear, there will be a gametic disturbance as we arive. We will be there in T - 00:10:00 MARK, hold out just a little bit longer>
People seam to lighten up some, but... what happens next ruins all that.
On the screen the interrupters can be seen clearing away from the bulge at the bottom of the Vivo. Like a bursting pimple the mass swells and swells and tairs open spewing forth a stream of green acidic plasma nearly as hot as the surface of the sun down onto one of the moons larger cities. Like getting hit with a close range coronal discharge, having nucular waist dumped on you, and raining boiling acid all at once the city goes dark almost instantly save for the explosions and raging green flames spreading over the moons surface.
Before the full devastation can be witnessed though the ship suddenly accelerates and the moon quickly starts to shrink away.
Cryies of horror and shock fill the cargo bay as people start to panic again... from the sounds that can be made out of people that know the moon well enugh, it seams the city hit was Neo New York... The center of the colonial government.
Even Amaphutha seams distraught by it lowering her ears and asking to no one "Mother?"
Raven gave a nod as he looked over the information before him. It was a rocky start, but he seemed to be getting the feel for the controls now. Well, at least he hoped so. The Splicer focused on the numbers, and steered the ship accordingly.
Solan don't find any gun ports anywhere, but should he ask the monkey there is a combat station on the bridge... looks rather like all the others with the orbs and the display.  No real weapons but it can amplify his force affects to attack stuff..... just right now there isn't anything to shot at.
Re: CHAPTER 1: The Crowns Darkest Jewel
Huoshui horrified by what he just witnessed. How many souls lives were extinguished in that one blow. His mind and soul would have been distracted by that if it weren't for that mechanical bird and its incessant pecking.
The bird being the same he had met with Raven. The thing seemed to have been trying to eat his paradox flaws, eating at his grass hair maybe it was trying to get bugs or something. But now it seemed to have gotten frustrated and was now just pecking at him in frustration.
He tried to batter it away but it seemed to just keep coming back for more. Taking a deep breath to calm his mind and soul, from both the bird and what he had witnessed. He took a leap from his elevated position and landed somewhere near Amaphutha.
Remembering the words of his mentor "Wounds of the heart of near impossible to heal." He knew nothing he could say now would help her or the others, so all he did was try to comfort her.
Giving her the embrace he had wanted when his mother had died. He wished he could do more but there was still so much more needed doing. "We are the legacy of those who are no longer here. Take as much time as you need." That was the best he could really come up with, He was never great with these things. With that took over what ever healing efforts she was doing, with some difficulty as the bird seemed to not want to leave him alone.
Re: CHAPTER 1: The Crowns Darkest Jewel
She leans into Huoshui a little taking a deep breath collecting herself. "No... perhaps the spirits would guide her flight. Even if she is dead I have duties to uphold, and these people need help." She gives a very stern and unpleasant look at the bird... a cold chilling one.... it squeaks and flies away obviously scared by the look. Her look sours again though and she gets up to move and help some one else.
Some of the medics and security staff start doing what they are trained for and start taking control of the situation. They arn't so good at calming people down but least they seam to be getting the situation under control... and even the illusion of some control calms people down some.
Note as things start to calm and relax people with prime in the docking bay can just barely feel the presence of ... well lets just say a familiar primordial energy... a some what greedy one.
