CHAPTER 1: Kairos

There wasn't a center for his tradition, but he had the location of where the representative of Senex was staying.

Re: CHAPTER 1: Kairos

There two guards with the Senex's symbol on it. The stop you until you show them your papers and then let you in. You find Margaret Kensington, an older English woman, along drinking tea and looking over a rather large pile of data pads.

(Michael, Cicatrix, and Huoshui where ready first and started 12 days from the auction. They are all at the end of that day or near it. Is it ok if this is 11 days from the auction for you to make things easier?)

Re: CHAPTER 1: Kairos

 (That's fine, no problems here)

As he enters, Kairos' eyes quickly survey the room for anthing that could comprimise the privacy needed with the senex representative. Once happy he approaches her.

"Greetings Mrs. Kensington. I've been sent  here by Zelig Tiencken to hand deliver this messege to you regarding some... items your group's scanners have picked up."

He chooses his words carefully, still not fully sure of who else could be listening.

He takes out the piece of paper and places it on her desk.

"All the details are contained within this document"

She raises a brow. "Hand deliver?" She reads over it and slumps back into her chair taking her glasses off. "Tell me Sir Kairos... what do you know of the Fifth Fall?"

Re: CHAPTER 1: Kairos

She sighs moving out to look out the window as it opens showing a view of the station, the moon, and Earth bellow. The never ended storm over the middle east still twisted in it's darkness and the illuminate band of the nebula belt still visible. It's quite a view this station has.

"The dark star Nemesis that nearly distressed all life in this system was a source of corrupted entropy like nothing we have ever seen before. We thought that horror over when Saturn and Nemesis collided. However at the cost of many lives the Ceres Prime Research Base as taken a sample of Nemesis dead core." She turns back around "I am sure you understand how serious this is?"

"This is the very same sample which is to be auctioned on the station?"

Kairos suddenly becomes more animated.

"Such a thing should be either contained or destroyed, why is the auction of such a dangerous item even being allowed to take place!?"

Re: CHAPTER 1: Kairos

"I have talked to the colonial goverment but to many Goveners ether support or are a part of the auction. Mercury's governess Monet Granville, whants to study it. Lunar governors are split... Milla Ormanda is trying to use it for political boost and is buying it for a museum, Alexavier Jeneva thinks the money will help the economy, Naledi Owusu though.. she agrees with us. Mars governor is in charge of stellar trade and is in a hard position to say anything ether way. Amalthea and Himalia have always been at each others throats and there governers likely want to make weapons with it to keep the other at bay with threat of it at there side, you know how cold wars are... Maarten Nostrant from the Mimas ship yard wants it for a weapon or a ship drive or something to do with a new ship he's working on. Europa's governess Yori Kohana would likely wish to study it but they are teetering on civil unrest or even civil war. Sunny Moon, Ganymede's governor would likely side with us if pushed.... but that realy don't leave us with much suport. The only other name we have that agrees with us is Taisho Sōshin but he's more of a spiritual leader than a political one."

She sighs moving back to take a seat again and a long drink. "As you can see we are quite outnumbered. The ideas of scientific discovery, weapons of mass power, or trillions of credits have blinded them all to the truth of the mater. To make matters worse Shinkoto Industries is throwing there weight around here.... to many people use or even require there rejuvenation therapies, and they have as much if not more influence than any governor."

Re: CHAPTER 1: Kairos

Kairos starts formulating a plan, he takes out a data pad and draws up a list of the those he knows are going to be at the auction. A swell of powerful emotions and the thrill of the 'game' begining change him completely, dropping all formalities.

""Mrs. Kensington, I need information on everyone connected to this and anyone who's sympathetic to our cause or could be...convinced. "

Turning to ignore the Englishwoman he quickly opens a comm link to his ally Fáith, not even waitinig for a responce from her he just barks orders.

"Fáith! Drop whatever else you're doing, I've got a job for you and it's a big one. This one's a little different from the norm so you should find it interesting.  I'm going to be sending you a list of names and you're going to give me dirt, sleeze, bribery and corruption on every last one. Everyone has their weakness, and you're going to give me theirs. Understood? "

Returning his gaze to the Senex PA

"I'm a soldier first and foremost Mrs. Kensington, not a diplomat. If we're entering negotiations without them resolving by the tip of my blade, I'm going to want every advantage I can get. Now where shall we begin?"

Re: CHAPTER 1: Kairos

"Well Demetria will likely sympathize, the Fae hate corruption as much as us. At the least if she will turn a blind eye to anything illegal we may do that is a start."

List of the big players at the auction:

Monet Granville is sending (a nameless) assistant to bid on various items for study.

Milla Ormanda is sending (a namless) lawer to obtain samples for museums, likely to gain political ground.

Naledi Owusu is sending her daughter Amaphutha Owusu to bid on the core sample only and has said nothing on it... but many claim she wants it destroyed and should be outbid at all cost (mainly claims from those that want it the most).

Even with the traditions and technocracy having formed a union there is still a bit of a cold war brewing from the vets of the Hyperion war that won't let it go even with Jupiter gone. If anything shows this it's that Carrieann Storm and Dr. Howeeel Maddock are both showing up in person to bid on the core sample, likely for some weapon to keep aimed at the other.

Maarten Nostrant has shown similar interest as well and will be bidding by remote link through a construct.

Taisho Sōshin, a renown spiritual leader through out the (mostly outer) planets, is sending a student named Sophia E. Boreh to bid on the core saying that it contains an essence of darkness that should be contained and studied by the brotherhood so that they may find ways to counter such darkness should it descend on us again.

Zelig Tiencken is sending his assistant Margaret Kensington to demand the acquisition of the core to be moved to SSS Level Quarantine stating that under laws set up by the Senex with the traditions and unions such high levels of Entropic energies are to be contained, quarantined, and studied on Charon, Cerberus, or Pluto.  That failing they are likely to bid vast amounts of credits on them, fear that they will outbid people on most every item up there has been a good deal of protest on Senex's participation stating that such discoveries should be shared and that all other bidders would eventually release information to the public while Senex keeps all things to themselves and other Euthanatos only.

Shinkoto Industries is sending a representative named Luxuria Wakahisa to make bids on various items, and is expected to get a lot with there large pool of money they have.

a little more detail on just who these people are >.> lol

Monet Granville is the Den of the Fors Collegis Meruris on Mus, a small chuck of rock orbiting Mercury. The collage was made by and for the Order of Hermes but is open to all who can afford it.

Milla Ormanda Is one of the three governors of the moon, representing the tecnomancer population. She is a German Void Engender.

Naledi Owusu Is one of the three governors of the moon and represents the non-mage population. She is an African Bastet with the appearance of a puma in her transformed state though such has not been seen much at all and people wonder if it's just a nasty rumor that she is. She pushes heavly on laws to protect the moon.

Amaphutha Owusu  Naledi's daughter she is most defiantly a Bastet, in addition to her puma like appearance she has a unicorn like horn and brown and white wings like that of some bird.  Naledi seams to have disowned her (rumors say it's because the mutations she shows are signs of a dishonor) and she dose not use the Owusu name, but she still stays with her mother as a servant.

Carrieann Storm  A survivor of the Hyperion wars and human governor of Amalthea (also known to many traditionalists as Metropolis 2) She is in charge of what is basically one massive, multiple layered, city covering the entire moon.

Dr. Howeeel Maddock  The governor or general of the large fortress moon Himalia, he is a Scottish Son of Ether who fought in the Hyperion wars.

Maarten Nostrant A dutch Virtual Adept he is in charge of the largest ship yards in the system and likely the most advanced weapons R&D labs based on Mimas.

Taisho Sōshin As said he is a renown spiritual leader teaching unity to the traditions and is a leading voice in the outer planets, though less hurd of in the inner planets he is still heavily respected universally. He is an elderly Asian member of the Akashic Brotherhood.

Sophia E. Boreh Unhurd of until sent to bid on the core. (like most the other unnamed listed lol)

Zelig Tiencken Curent Head of Senex and based on Cerberus. (Germian male)

Margaret Kensington Personal assistant to Zelig. (European female)

Senex A large organization split off from the Euthanatos, and there largest chantry. They are in charge of studding dangerous levels of Entropy and keeping the shard realm of Entropy under a close eye while making sure no one approaches it. They collect massive amounts of data from SR Entropy and Pluto's system but do not share it. However they do sell the advance scenery equipment they produce for these tasks, and it is considered the best available.

Shinkoto Industries The corporation behind the production of Rejuvenate, wich seams to be a diluted one of a kind substance that as yet no one has been able to synthesize or find the source of, ensuring Shinkoto an unbreakable monopoly on the product. This alone took them from nothing to the biggest corporation in the system.

Luxuria Wakahisa works for Shinkoto and not much is known about her save she is exstreamly attractive and word is she's sleeping her way to the top. She is almost always with a very large and unusual looking lone bodyguard.

She sighs shaking her head "Nothing at the moment, no" She turns and smiles weakly. "Thank you, it's nice to have some one of your reputation on board with us.... even though your not a part of our coven you are willing to help us, everyone else just thinks we want the stone for ourselves so we can study it. It is true we will study it, but we are the ones who know what it is and will treat it as it should be. Keep it save, and quarantined from any contact with anyone. The research we do not share we do so for a reason... they simply do not understand us."

Re: CHAPTER 1: Kairos

"Such is the duty of the Euthanatos, often we must work hidden in the shadows and do that which others can not or will not do... I'll do whatever it takes to ensure the safety of the people"

Kairos tried to sympathise with the older woman but he didn't really care for the politics of this world, even more so than the power struggles and battles of ideologies he left behind in England on Earth. Out here it was more alien to him than ever.

There were people here who could be saved from possible danger, and as a bonus Senex was willing to pay him to do it. That's all he really cared about.

"Farewell Mrs. Kensington. I'll leave you to the care of your guards, you have my contact details."

Kairos leaves and makes his way towards finding Demetria.
