Re: CHAPTER 1: Michael Hadenal

The guy answers the door this time. "Ah man" He quickly slides out and shuts the door. "I wish you hadn't left that message, I hate lying to my wife... but it's good to see you, did you bring it with you?" He says while fishing out his banking chip.

Re: CHAPTER 1: Michael Hadenal

Michael pulls the box out of his pocket, carefully opening the lid to let the customer have a look at his work, tilting it slightly so the light caught the stones correctly. "Can I suggest having deliveries made to your workplace in the future then sir?" Michael took the banking chip and completed the transaction, checking his account before handing the box over. "If you are pleased with the work, please consider coming to me again, and tell people where you got them."

Re: CHAPTER 1: Michael Hadenal

(i'll consider you made 75k profit off it considering how good the rolls were making it that's like 160% profit, woot.)

He happily pays but quickly stashes the box, apparently his wife is home at the moment. "That, that's a good idea... don't worry I'm sure she will tell everyone"

Re: CHAPTER 1: Michael Hadenal

The station rocks and the lights flicker some, a warning coming up over the intercom. "There is a minor security breach on the promenade, for your own safety please stay inside and avoid the promenade till further notice"

The guys eyes widen a little "Thank you but you should probably hurry home, that dose not sound very good."

Re: CHAPTER 1: Michael Hadenal

"Indeed, depending on how it goes I might not be on the station for much longer. Have a good day." Michael starts to make his way back to his ship, getting a good way there before his curiosity gets the better of him, and he adjusts his course, heading towards the disturbance.

Re: CHAPTER 1: Michael Hadenal

Waking up to a brand new day you find a message for you to meet up with everyone at 4pm at a hotel. Things are just as hectic as they were before the explosion, part of the promenade is closed off as they scan for the N-1, but other than that and the crowd the auction has drawn nothing seams all that out of ordinary.

You do have a rather interesting message though.

Dear Valued Customer,

We received word from one of our many freelancers that you are from Europe, this is quite interesting to us and could make both of us money. If you would be willing to submit memory scans of any unusual creatures, lifeforms, monsters, items, artifacts, locations, or the like you have encountered we would be willing to give you a fair compensation for anything that we use. As well as being paid any time we use one of your scans for making avatars, items, or to formatting a sector. We are looking for anything are designers haven't seen before and are willing to pay for information on the behavior and visuals of anything out of the ordinary. If your submission is used as inspiration you will receive modest credit and credits. Should your submission be used as a base then you will be credited in the products description and you will receive a much higher commission. If you are interested or would like more information please contact me.

Re: CHAPTER 1: Michael Hadenal

Michael saved the message, tagging it to check in on later in case he needed some easy money. He flicked through his sketchbooks over breakfast, yesterday's events had made him consider once again the need for some personal protection, and a gun probably wont suffice.

After many minutes he set the books aside and drew his stylus from his pocket, and rummaged around for a sheet of scrap paper, sketching out a brand new design. The central device was a hermetic pentacle and the name מיכאל. He kept the designs standard, rather than using his usual techniques. The design called for gold, naturally, though he nodded to his previous work, specifying red gold.

He folded the paper up and tucked it into his robe along with his stylus before pausing and grabbing a pawn of his solar tass as a sample before heading out his ship and towards the artisan district, looking for another of his order.

Re: CHAPTER 1: Michael Hadenal

You were able to find one after a bit of searching that specializes in personal protection, however it's mostly shielding accessories rather than offensive devices. He dose however have on display part of the shattered hilt of a sword of mars.

Re: CHAPTER 1: Michael Hadenal

Michael limped into the shop, and walking over to the mage, taking a quick look at the sword hilt as he passed. "Good morning brother, I have this feeling that in times like these it would do well to go armed." He pulled the sketch out. "Might you be free to take up a commission?"

"A talisman." Michael held out the paper showing the sketch. "I will naturally provide the object to be empowered, and the necessary will, I just have need of help when it comes to the actual empowering. Do you think this design would be suitable?"

He hums looking over the diagrams. "So you need the work of a master crafts man. I usually only make charms, periapts, and protective artifacts. However I can help you with this. If you are willing to work with me, supply the materials and tass (yah figures a OoH will still call it tass hehe) I'll lower my regular fee considerably."

Michael pulled the crystalline sunlight from his pocket, offering it for inspection. "I have this as well as some trading tass, and I can provide more vis if needed. Would you accept payment in the form of a like ring? My jewelry is of the highest quality."

Re: CHAPTER 1: Michael Hadenal

He sighs looking over the tass. "This is barely enough tass for what you wish made, we can't put energy through from ourselves as we instil your essence into this." He shakes his head sitting down "This is my living here. I tell you what though, we are brothers of the same order so if you make this item yourself and purify it on your own, inscribe your true name into it with a bit of your self then that will cut down on the time I will have to close shop. If all goes well you can help me cut some blue jade I acquired... if your skilled as you say you are, I could use the help to make sure it's cut properly."

"Jade is of no difficulty, and I will have no problem helping with that. I will return with the item when it is complete, if not today, then tomorrow." Michael leaves the shop and heads back to his ship, grabbing a sandwich and coffee on the way back, intending to get a few hours of work done on the ring before the meeting later.

Re: CHAPTER 1: Michael Hadenal

Michael leans back and lets his eyes relax, feeling quite drained already, and the talisman was only half way done. He glanced at the clock to see how long it had taken, pleasantly surprised he rubbed his eyes and stood up, leaning quite heavily on the desk as he did so, the hours of non-movement painfully cramping up his leg. He collected up the sheets of paper containing his notes and ideas  and carefully ignited them from his burner before dropping them into a ceramic dish, making sure they burned up fully. He gathered his tass into a satchel and slipped the ring on. Still warm from being in his hand for hours, and it already felt quite natural to be there.

It was too late before the meeting to finish the work, so Michael moved over to the wall housing his library, picking out one on general hermetic theory to meditate on before he needs to leave.

Michael rolls the scroll back up and limps over to the rack, returning it to its place before picking up his staff and making his way to the hotel, giving himself plenty of time to reach the place.

Re: CHAPTER 1: Michael Hadenal

Red lights flash through the station.

Warning: explosive device detected.

This is followed by the sound of an explosion from near the temple, and the station shaking some. (like from a minor earth quake)

Re: CHAPTER 1: Michael Hadenal

Michael sighed, regretting making the decision to set up shop here in the hopes of siphoning off some of the extra money coming in from the auction. This station was going to hell riding on the back of a detonator. Best not to think about what these shocks were doing for the structural integrity, and hoping that the sons knew what they were doing when they got the place. He swung round, heading towards the blast.  Quickly forming a spell to identify any more explosives.
