Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

He places a hand on her shoulder. "I am staying to see where this is all going." He smiles and continues "My path keeps me here for a bit longer, something is coming and it needs someone to greet it." He also needed to make sure that Sophia evacuates.

"You have friends in our brothers and sisters, any temple I am sure would welcome you as their own. If you wish I could send word to the temples I have studied at and I am sure they can make accommodation for you."

Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

"Perhaps I should remain, too," Jita blurted out before she thought it through. A moment of shock registered on her face, then she regained her calm. An intensity smoldered in her eyes.

"My path led me here for a reason. There are no accidents."

"At the very least, someone should document whatever is about to happen. There needs to be a witness. I'm probably among the least partial people on the Station, as I've just arrived and have no ties to anyone here, not really anyway."

"Perhaps what I see will be able to help the other colonies defend against the impending attack."

Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

He smiles and says "Documentarists are always useful. I cannot guarantee that this is wise or safe but if you believe this is best than I will support your decision. I will say that these people are after the artifact, so there is a possibility that when that is moved they may follow."

"Besides it would be sad for our paths to depart on such circumstances. As you said there are no accidents." He says as he removes his hand from her shoulder.

"Every man's life concerns every other man, especially if he is on the noble path to true enlightenment." He says as if quoting a teaching from an elder. "We gain bonds with every life we touch no matter how little."

Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

"A ship in a harbour is safe, but that is not what ships are built for." Jita remembered the quote from somewhere, and it seemed fitting here. She straightened her stance, and immediately seemed more confident in her decision.

"I'll be staying. At the very least, to bear witness. Though I suspect that I am here for some purpose that remains unrevealed to our current understanding."

"I would like for you to explain to me what's going on here, Brother. I have a feeling that, if I am to be of use, I should know everything about this crisis. What is this 'artifact', and how is it related to the coming danger?"

"Very well. If we would take a seat over here, I will explain more." He gestures to a seating area.

He turns to the other monk "I will take care of her evacuation, thank you for your help." He bows and leads to the seating.

Huoshui turns back to the monk. "May yours be as well."
His own path he doubted would be safe but he prayed that theirs would be.

He takes a seat and rests his bag behind him, removing a small cloth covered item from his sleeve and resting it in-front of him.

"What do you know of the artifact?" He asks Jita.

Jita examined what Huoshui placed in front of her, resisting the urge to actually touch it. Instead, she opened her mystic senses, letting her perceptions wash over the thing in order to gather some insight. "What...is it?"

Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

"This is a weapon. Given to me in the mind set that this endeavour shall be one full of violence. A weapon I am told was made on mars and will do great damage during a small time."

He places his hand on it. "It is of ice." his hand moves over it, remembering the thoughts of the dragon. I am of water, water adapts and has many forms. "I want you to know we have already fought for this artifact. Lives lost and foes defeated."

"But you asked of the artifact. I take it you know of what was the end of days. The star and the events that followed."

Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

The blood ice is a jagged clump of ice that clearly has what looks like streaks of blood frozen into it. The renascence is a cruel and violent one, this weapon would clearly tare it's self apart tring to harm anyone it was drawn agenst. It was like the worst of mars dust storms was frozen into a blade like shard.  The bindings with strange swirled glyphic wrighting (to complex and strange for jita to understand) seams to be binding the resence and keeping it in a sorta stasis. Removing the wraps would unleash the wrathful energies.

She's likely to have seen charms like this, quick and dirty way to hurt some one.... From the energies it looks like it fromed naturaly some how, in some very odd place, and was 'harvested' with the bindings so it can be used later. It's really not the weapon for a monk lol.... it formed in violence and is meant only for violence. Wise folks say that weapons are tools and should be treated as such.... but this one is simply a weapon and nothing else. Probably a sad sight to see for a scholar. ^.^;;

Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

Jita Patel nodded, her eyes fixed on the weapon. She made it a point to remember the way the sigils worked their way around the artifact's surface. There was something about the jagged curves within the symbols that carved their way into her heart, filled her with a slow, dull dread. It wasn't terror--that was a visceral fight-or-flight response--but rather the sense that the world was due for a massive, painful change and that this weapon was the engine by which it happens.

"This is not a weapon," Jita began, then paused to collect her thoughts. "I mean, it is a weapon, in that it is an implement meant to wound and kill. But it's more than that, Brother. It is a kind of key, really."

"This...device will be pivotal in some event that cause the current reality to unravel. It is a bringer of great, unfettered chaos--no cycle, no balance, just pure, random madness. Whoever seeks to use this weapon must never be allowed it."

Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

He looks at her a bit sideways. She clearly had an insight into this situation beyond which he had, she was picking up on what was going on and the dangers of it faster than he had. He tried to hide his shock and awe but was losing that battle.

"This weapon was given to me to fight against those who would take the rock, however I joined with them to try to find another path, so far I have failed but I have hopes for the future."

He seems to shake himself back. "As I was going to tell you. The artifact is that of the red star. It is a piece of the end times. It was found and put up for auction. Many want it for various reason. There was then events that seemed to suggested there is a group trying to take it."

"The elder of this temple died from such a person, I believe. After I told him of a vision my ancestors gave me, he was taken from us. I was shown the last few moments of one of my ancestors time at the mountain, a beast was there. The elder helped me look into this."

"With this I tried to help apprehend the person who took the master. We found her and her bodyguard, they had incredible power and battle was fought. People lost. I guess it could be said that she was brought to justice, her bodyguard however escaped. As she left, she was speaking to someone who wasn't there. With this and the symbols of the seven sins, we believe there is more to come."

"Also I have been told by a noble spirit that there is to come a beast of war." He takes and re-hides the blade within his robes.

"That is pretty much you up to speed. I and others are going to wait here at the station till everyone is evacuated and then the artifact is also evacuated. For I fear there is something coming."

Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

( I will quickly note jita has the right idea but the weapon isn't anywhere near that strong.... if it was stronger... yes... but it's energy is weak and would burn out fast. The weapon dose Str +3 (as a dagger! o.o diff 5) the first attack, str+2 the second, and str+1 the third.... by the forth turn though it's melted away to nothing but the 'heat' of it's furry.  It's a savage weapon but is not one that could change the world unless it was used decisively.)

for the writting..... go here and look down all the way to bastet for an exsample of there language in writen form...

http://whitewolf.wikia.com/wik...e_Apocalypse_symbols

It's exstreamly beautiful and complex.... she probably would love it... lol

She would have to use a reading the record rite to even have a difficulty low enugh to have a chance at translating it lol..... fera languages have a mystic element in how they learn and know it.... and it's VERY complex and hard to learn if your not fera or kin.

She would have also felt the dark and uneasy primortal energies in the station..... having a chuck of nemesis heart on board.... very very very much explains it. O.O

Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

"I suppose that will have to do,' Jita agreed. They would need to start moving, or at the very least, figure out their next move. She might have thrown her lot in with the Brother and some still-unnamed allies, but Jita had no intention of being idle.

"Let's begin our exit, Brother. You have a better grasp of Victoria Station, and you have connections that will make our move possible. In this matter, I'll follow your lead."

Jita looked ready to leave. Nothing held her in this place, though it still seemed a bit sad.

Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

"There are a few documents and such that some of the others might be able to explain to you better. But most of what we are working off of is theory." He rises from his chair and swings his bag on. Taking a second to tie his katana to his sash, it is good to be prepared. This station hadn't been safe recently.

"We might be able to catch them." Points to his comm "They are in a meeting. Discussing what to do now."

"We should also be able to meet up with someone who can arrange for us to get off of this station when this is all over."

Staff in hand, he leads back to where the meeting was being held. Keeping an extra eye out, since being on this station when ever he met a new person trouble always followed.

One of the monks addresses huoshui though. "Sihing, do you don't think this beast the spirit you spoke to talked about is the one elder was looking into do you?" The young man seams a bit conserned ... with the murder, the findings, and now the attack and evacuation... it's stressful times.

OOC: Sihing (Elder brother)

Huoshui becomes saddened with the mention of the master and his work.

"I fear that is true." He turns to the brother. "Remain calm my brother. I am staying to look into these things and to prevent more hurt."

"The beast of war." He sighed. "Leave this station as soon and as calmly as you can. If it is the beast that is coming that I am to witness it leave its mark."

Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

It was Jita's turn to reach out to Houshui, placing her palm gently on his shoulder blade. Her breathing was calm, almost mechanical.

"We must be going. The monks here--" she nods respectfully to the man, "they have a destiny, too. To take their lessons here and bring them to the other colonies. You and I, our destinies are different, so we ought to begin it."

Jita's eyes were bright and sharp, her stance relaxed but assured.

He nods "I hope it is not the case, something so old to go to war would leave a horrid mark..." He sighs. "We have already been prepared, some of us are going to stay as long as we can though tring to remove and move the training chamber. The wonder is to valuable to the brotherhood to be left behind." He looks back to the entrance to the chamber "It's self contained and has it's own power, but we built around it and attached some terminals to it so we could monitor people training... we need to cut the wall out and disconnect everything, but we want to be careful not to damage the artifact."

"It would be a loss of a great asset. I hope your movement of it goes well." He looks also to the chamber. "Do not worry about the beast, just concentrate on evacuation of brotherhood members and assets."

He bows to the monk and then continues to take Jita to the place of the meeting. "Leave us to worry about the beast." He says as he leaves.

Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

Jita follows, lost in her own thoughts. She tried to remember the sigils from the weapon that Huoshui possessed, the memory already slippery in her mind. Fleeting curves of power and suppression--Jita may not know what those characters translated into, but she could not shake what they felt.

Her mind wandered back to the rant she found in the Master's quarters. There, too, she had been exposed to some potent energies coming from the written word. In a matter of one day, Jita had already seen more than she had experienced while back in India. Already, it felt as if that old life was somehow more pale, less solid than what was happening to her in the present.

Still, a part of her missed her children. They were the only thing she left behind on Earth that she'd ever welcome seeing again.

From the sounds of what was happening now, though, Jita Patel's work here was important--possibly so much so that doing it might keep everyone on Earth safe from what was coming for Victoria Station.

Re: Chapter 1: Jita Patel

The scene in the promenade was hectic, people were crowding terminals and in a frenzy to buy everything they though they might need if something happened and they where stuck on the ship for an extended time. Places selling food, supplies, and various equipment were packed... while clothing shops, computer sores, entertainment parlors and the like barely had any customers at all. Security was now on the scene trying to organize things to keep panic from braking out.

There was a fight braking out over the last life support pack in one store and security was trying to brake it up, the small backpacks were quite popular suddenly... being able to sustain some one in space for some time with out a suit, and being much cheaper than one, they had flown off the shelves.

The two monks the only real island of calmness in a sea of troubled souls. Rumors of the Sins and the supposed imitate destruction of the station had everyone uncomfortable or on the verge of a panic.

Huoshui flows through the rushing crowd. Calm and moving through it with ease. Taking note of the chaotic situation around him.

Going to his current goal, fighting the urge to help everyone he passed. He sadly didn't have time to help individuals, he had to think of the larger picture. Continuing back to the meeting.
