Re: IC: News Archive.

Day 2 News.

Taisho Sōshin, one of the most renowned spiritual leaders throughout the outer-planets, is being elected as Governor of Miranda and it's outposts.

Naledi Owusu is pushing to restrict public access and create protected natural habitats in the valleys, ruins, and forests that are being discovered on the lunar surface. This rather unpopular movement has raised questions as to how a shape-shifter was so easily able to gain an office traditionally held by natural humans.

In other news on the moon, Smiling Jack has been brought down again, this time in the life of a nine year old boy who first slaughtered his parents and followed with what has unfortunately been one of the more successful streak of killings. Thankfully his identity was discovered and security forces moved in to capture him early this morning, unfortunately like many of the others he slit his own throat before he could be questioned and after resurrection he had no memory of the events. He is currently being studied in hopes of revealing answers to this terrifying phenomena.

In good news, another tree farm harvesting Frozen Sun has been uncovered on Venus. The authorities are currently burning the trees out and destroying any seeds or genetic samples now. This brings us one step closer to bring and end to Frozen Sun distribution. Groups still protest though that the complete extinction of a plant is not the answer to dealing with this problem.

Contact with the Alpha Centauri System has suddenly been cut off and the Eris Gateway has been unable to establish a link with there extra-stellar gate. The reasons for there sudden cease in communication and closer of there gate is unclear. Non-gate related communications have been sent and are awaiting a reply, we will keep you informed on this event as it unfolds.

The so called 'Jewel of the Crown' is being brought into question and cries to suspend the auction and return the sample to the nebula are growing louder. Despite the many possablites in research, there is a rapidly growing minority that feel it's simply not worth the risk or that it's morally wrong to try and prosper off what caused the death of so many.

Re: IC: News Archive.

End of chapter 1 news

News reports are mostly on the attack, it seams after they left the Vivo ingufled or 'swallowed' the station before the dreadnaughts arived. The two ships and the Vivo did quite a bit of damage to each other while the Vivo's leaves/wings/solararays retracted and folded around it. They managed to cut deep groves into the Vivo's hull but didn't puncture it as it keep healing, they did however cut off a few of the leafy arms before they folded in. Then with a massive gravmetric distortions the ship vanished leaving the station behind.

The athroites saw the intersepters chasing there ship as 'escorts' and think the party and the ship are cohorts in the attack and are asking a reward for any information to bring them in for questioning.

The condition and/or location of governors Alexavier Jeneva,  Naledi Owusu, and Dr. Howeeel Maddock aswell as representatives Sophia E. Boreh and Margaret Kensington are unknown at this time.

The total death tool of the indecent is estimated to be in the range of 2 ~ 3 million lives. And the numbered injured and/or in refuge camps may total up to another 1 ~ 2 million. All in all making it one of the worst disasters sense the 5th fall.

The only notable new news is that there is an incress in the number of geomes in space. Usually there not many away from the digital realm, thick parts of the pattern web, or in the info sphere... however there starting to show up more away from these places.  Also attack geomes are becoming more hostile.

Re: IC: News Archive.

People are starting question the technocracy involvement in the Vivo, it's been confirmed that the Vivo was at the Copernicus Research Center before the fall. Conspiracies are arising that the technocracy faked the attack and disappearance of the Vivo and have keep it hidden all these years and for reasons that very from theory to theory, are using there weapon to attack.

The CCG is convening on board the CGS Artemis in lunar orbit to discus the situation, and both the tradition and technocratic consuls are set to met with in the few weeks.

The main concern seams to be the fact that none of the technocratic representatives where seriously injured in the incident.  Reasoning that there was more tradition representatives there seams to fall on death ears.

It is not helping the matter that the goveners Taisho Sōshin,  Pr. Howell Maddock's son, and Den Monet Granville are rather outspoken of there distrust of the x-technocratic union members. Sōshin has gone far enough to blame the attacks on them... saying if they are not directly responsible it was there negulance that brought this about.

Govener Zelig Tiencken, who's assistant is still in a coma, has been out spoken in trying to keep the peace and pleads for assistance claiming they need to secure fortifications inside SR Entropy and need more funding. With Senex's estimated net worth the claim is rather ignored.

Re: IC: News Archive.

Mimas reports that a shipment of experimental close combat weapon enhancements have been stolen while traveling to be tested in the field. They do not believe the weapons have left the system though.

CCG reports some of these weapons have confirmed to be have been recovered from thugs shipping sublime.

Re: IC: News Archive.

Robberies from sublime addicts are on a rise in the outer planets, some dealers seam to be using experimental artificial mass devices as weapons.

Neo Orleans is critically damaged and sinking deep into the ocean of Ganymede as workers try and get what is left of the city buoyant again before the preasure crushes the city, illegal salvaging of the city is slowing work and all may be lost as the city approaches crush depths.

The attack of the Vivo seams to also have polluted the waters, while the strange acidic plasma fired by the ship has cooled much faster than on the moon, the steam it has given off is toxic and as it dilutes into the ocean surrounding plant life is dying threatening near by naturally formed islands of sinking aswell.

While clean up crews scramble and a call to help promises answers from Senex, who has offered to help contain the toxins, civil uproar is at an all time high. Governors have gone on so far as to close off there planets to technocratic visitors. While on other worlds riots have broken out demanding the old tecnocratic worlds be removed from the CCG. Most governors on both sides however continue to insist that the technocrat is disbanded and that those who took sanctuary from it are not involved with the Vivo's attacks.

It seams likely though serious restructuring of the military is to be exspected at least, people are no longer comfertable trusting CCG security to ex-space marines in the new marine core.
