CHAPTER 2: Solan Griss

Avarice hums looking over as he sits on the bed as a rectangular, very flat edged, 'blade' slides from the hilt that separates about half way into two square 'blades'. He taps it on the bed a few times, it making a funny humming sound. "Sooo... Don't sepose your open a well paying side job would you??? Humm you look like you could use 2.5 million or so creds... that a good guess?" (and yes that is a guess, sorta

Solan looks at the man.

His voice cold and emotionless.

"I am always looking for work, if it doesn't conflict with my contract at the moment I am willing to hear your offer". Says Solan looking at the man thru his metal and robotic eyes.

"I simply wish to leave this ship when we land, and for you to act as my body guard during my short stay. If we are lucky we won't even have to go very far. All I want to do is pick something up in Hades and be on my way with out any trouble."

((And yes he's quite possibly why they have to land in Hades, lol.))

Solan nods.

"That seems like a reasonable request. I ask no questions nor do I expect any". Says Solan.

"What is the price you are paying, and I will need a contract stating that I also know nothing about the package you are picking up etc, that way if it is some kind of chemical or Mass destruction item and it is traced back to you I will have deniability to the courts if it comes to that".

"What is the price you are offering, and I also expect full coverage of armor and wepaons if they are destroyed and ammo to be replaced" Says Solan printing out a contract from his data pad to be handed to the man and signed.

The duration of the time is from the moment off the ship to the moment on the ship.

"Having proof of this could be bad... how about 1 mil now and the rest later." He takes out a small case out of his pocket full of chips and counts out 10 of them, checking them with a scanner before handing them all over to you.

A quick check with your own scaner or the suits power glove will show that all 10 are all full 100kc chips. Could go a good way to paying off your debt, or in a city like Hades get you some gear right off the factory floor or from a black market dealer.

"Fine, we will have no legally binding paper work. I expect the other half of the payment once the job is done".

"When we land I will be your private security, not assassin as you are paying for protection. Unless you want to renegotiate".

Says Solan putting the chips into a metal box on his person.

"Well then.... shall we be going?" and with that strolls along heading out of the ship, so long as Solan is willing to follow he don't stop.. heading along to enter the city.

Solan puts his rile up and follows the man.

He breaths deep, feeling the power of this city.  It was mostly metal and fire and that is where he felt at home. Around technology and the hum of engines.

He focues his will and visualized the air around him becoming a shield of sorts, a force that would turn away bullets, claw, and fire.

OOC-Using magic to concentrate to make a type of armor if possible.

His sword devolves into the hilt once they are out of sight of the station.

"There is no need for a snipers nest, I just want you by my side if something happens. Telling you where we are going though won't mean much if you don't know the city... but it's a manufacture shot that makes customized tools, we have to take the tram here to another tram, then walk to the shop. Will take about an hour or two. Depending on how long we have to wait."

But seams waiting won't be much a trouble as the head to the tram station one pulls up.

He smiles and laughs. "Military man... involved in a lot of attacks into enemy lines I take it?  No no no... Your a body guard, your main job is to just stand beside me and look scary." He laughs "Your intimidation to keep people from thinking about trying something, and be there to help deal with the situation if they are dumb enough to. Usually though body guarding some one just means standing beside them for long periods of time giving unpleasant looks at people who get to close, you usually don't have to do anything more than that... it just pays well because you may have to take a bullet, get into a gunfight, or escort some out to safety... next to never happens but they pay like it will. It's not a bad option for ex-military to take up privet security or body guard work."

After some time they got off a heavy industrial area, lots of production going on, manly automated farming equipment... lots destined to climb cliff walls. From there the made there way to a place called 'Joe's Cog Shack' and made there way in. 'Joe' as it was was a rather large man with cybernetic eye and arm that was as ugly and bulky as he was.

Re: CHAPTER 2: Solan Griss

Solan bristled with power and hate.

He focused the energy around him, in this situation it would turn into a hand vs hand fight and he had more than enough power to do that.

But Solan was best with guns and weapons..He kept his gun controlled but ready.

He turns to his "boss".

"If we could, I would like our backs to the wall and a metal table between us and them".

Solan also does a scan of the room looking for back exits, windows, other things he may need to use or hide behind if it came to that,

'Joe' looked at Solan oddly. "Whats with him?" Avarice shrugs "eh... Maybe he need layed I don't know. Did you have any problems?" The mechanic took a deep breath letting it out "eh... a few, quite a pice of work you asked for. Mind if I ask what the hell you plan on hunting with this thing?" "I do mind actually." Joe shakes his head walking back picking up a rather large case, big enough to hold four rocket launchers in it, and drags it back around the counter on the wheels it is on. "All I have to say is if your hunting a dino's its a hell of a lot easier to just kill them first, THEN chop the head off man. I mean seriously this is some expensive and ridiculously awkward to aim." Avarice shrugs handing the guy a gold bank chip while adding "I'll manage." He checks the chip and nods. "Well, happy hunting I guess."

Avarice pulls the case up by the handle and moves to the door. "lets go, I have a ship to catch." he says to Solan.

Solan pays the debt, a small smile almost goes on his face.  He didn't feel much, fear,,happiness..much of anything but he could feel satisfaction.  He had paid his debt.  He knew he helped a man transport something that was probably bad but being that nothing happened the man would have done it anyways.  He owed no liability to the outcome of what would happen.

He headed back towards the ship to meet the others.  He was a free agent, and needed a job and his new partners seemed more than willing to hire him.
