He shakes his head. "Rather defensive of your stances ... And those things arn't to be worn by anyone you sot-head they fight there own fights. Your recovering and in no shape to fuel the forges, your imagination my burn more than those burgess you come from but you still stink of banality. I don't see why I should even help you, your burgess ancestors nearly brought about the long winter. There still those dauntain husks walking around in your skins offing anything with the slightest hint of glamor to it."

Re: CHAPTER 2 - Hell on Ear-... er... Mars.

"I shall defend many of the teachings given to me." Huoshui replied with again a confused look, this man used terms he had only recently come to hear. He didn't know why he apparently stunk of banality or did not offer glamor as this man spoke but the man spoke of it as if it were an insult. "If the armour is to fight by itself then surely the flaws again make them more real, a human or animal has flaws but is perfect in its own way. What fuels this forge of yours, if it is quintessence then I am able to draw from the universe if given only a moment. I also have pebbles which resonate yin/yang in balance. I an sorry if my ancestors did nearly bring about the long winter but I must confess my ignorance as to what that is, and to why you feel I stink of banality."

Re: CHAPTER 2 - Hell on Ear-... er... Mars.

"The end of dreams boy... for such a thing, even a hint of such is far to close." He takes the sword hitting it with the hammer rather roughly. "eh flawed, just like I thought... not bad for some old sot-head, flawed but not many to be found." He keeps hitting it with the hammer, here and there. "hum If you left it with me a fews weeks I could probably work them all out."

Re: CHAPTER 2 - Hell on Ear-... er... Mars.

Huoshui seemed shocked by the time it would take, "I would be unable to wait that long, I am on a quest to stop the end of the wheel. Without my partner I would be hindered in this. Is there not anything you could do that would not take as long? I cannot speak for him but I am sure he would not want to be left out of the fight." Huoshui's ears were met with a low growl as the sword hummed against the idea, it wanted to join him in this. "We are not asking for perfection sir, just that you help us improve."

"No of course not, no one wants to wait on perfection." He shakes his head. "You won't be able to fuel the flames enough boy, you haven't the energy... There be no cozen me boy... ether you do things my way or pay a far price and you don't look like you can take a proper beating, I don't see you letting bits of what makes you you burn away..." he prodes the fire with a sidrite stroker....  it was not a normal fire that was for sure, it looked rather like wyldfire to him and he knew it would seriously damage his patern... likely strip away the base quintessence of his life pasterns to fuel it if he guessed correctly.

Re: CHAPTER 2 - Hell on Ear-... er... Mars.

Huoshui took his dram out of his pocket and held it out to him, "If you would allow, I can offer these and given a bit of time I can draw from the universe more chi. My knowledge of the sphere of universal energy allows me to draw from it and hold more." The fire burning in the forge resonated in a way he recognised, it was wyld and dynamic. Much like the flames he had seen in people but to a much higher degree, far more powerful than he had ever seen.

He shakes his head "Afraid of a bit of fire hum?" He hums pulling goggles down from his strange helmet and grumbling. "Braking down quarks into monads isn't easy perhaps draining anti-monads can help this .... I can infuse the metal into the blade with more ease than striping the quirks away and replacing them with wyrd monads."

"I may place myself in danger for others but to burn myself for something such as this I find it truly hard to understand, you yourself said that it was because I did not have enough within me. Maybe with meditation and focus I will." Watching as the master forger went to work examining his blade more closely, "Again I must admit my ignorance as to the terms you use, what would Monads be? But if the sword agrees it would be fine with me."

"Not anything a sothead like you is going to understand boy. Now I can infuse or make your friend full of the vengence of a dead good but wouldn't you rather use your own dreams?  Or is it just that you lack any dreams better than vengence?" He gives a rather hard smack at the hand guard that knocks it slightly crooked and makes him frown. Well he didn't have to much to complain about the blade's quality....

"I am sure with time I could understand sir." he said as he tried to comprehend all that was being said. Also trying not to get annoyed at the hand guard. "Can my own dreams be used instead of this God's? Would mine help my blade, was I not tainted too much with banality?"

"I no longer have a master, we disagreed to the future of the universe and the wheel." he sighed, "If it is a dream then it is my drive, I will stop what I have foreseen and been shown. There are forces moving that wish to stop this cycle and start a new in their image. I left my master because of this disagreement so if you see this as a dream not squished by a master then that is all I have. All I am is a monk who wishes to learn, teach and continue this cycle to an ever growing height."

He gives a good hard luaghs. "your a naar and a pisher, but got the drive of a K'nocker for watching over others don't yah?" he shakes his head. "Even a naar can have some things right... but yah not got mazuima yah need for giving this bit of schlock some flavor." he jumps down and walks over to a smelter and sits the blade down, he fiddles with his helmet working some idles and setting it before attacking a odd set of cables to the smelter. The gear was creating some odd delta wave fields, dream science??  A little unexpected?  "Your friend going to delve into some of Vulcan's embers then it's proper mazuima you do to... your dán tied and dreams shared..."

"I feel that the universe must have given me this power for a reason, I believe I awoke so that I might help others." he commented, "Especially now it choses to give me visions and signs. Vulcan's embers, well certainly I share my dream with some friends but others I am not sure if they understand the height of what we need to accomplish. If I must dive into the embers for my friend then I shall." he walked behind the ever increasingly stranger Forgemaster, "Just tell me what I must do."

Re: CHAPTER 2 - Hell on Ear-... er... Mars.

"put your hand in there" Doing so is something that in a word hurts..... in many it's truely agonizing. As he pumps the bellows the flames lick at huoshui's patern braking it down releasing the base quintessence. He's taken pattern damage before... this was worse as it was disintegrating his pattern. His arm glowed like molten metal in the flames as ran like slag, the old man grabed the monks arm and drove it into water full of quintessence coiling it. But the damage was bad, and his arm quite deformed... 4 pattern damage was taken in the act, something that would require infusing quintessence back into the pattern and rebuilding it.... and would take a long time..... the pain... 4 pattern damage well... it was at the limits of what huoshui could take... anymore and he would have likely lost conciseness. He laughs some "For all your gridzheh you are a tough little momzer"

Re: CHAPTER 2 - Hell on Ear-... er... Mars.

The world of gods, shifters and other magical beings was a harsh one, Huoshui had learnt that but this pain burnt away his very being. Fuel for the wyld fire, his very pattern had become flames which was a jarring experience for him. The plunging into the chi water was welcoming, but already the monk could see the damage was done and just prayed the dragon was not brought into this. He did not wish to anger it or have it feel this was going against their promise, he too now was part of their team and should see that this was another step... no? "I shall take any punishment if it will protect others or even this cycle, and this was a price needed to pay for my blade then so be it." Still this was not a pain he wished to experience again, so he just held his arm and watched the smith at work.

Re: CHAPTER 2 - Hell on Ear-... er... Mars.

(the dragon is slumbering in the middle of the scars in your back, it's not in your arms and legs unless activated)

He went to work, not the most sympathetic of old men but he had work to do. Huoshui could feel the pain radiate from the blades spirit as it's body devolved in the forge being reduced into chi. He huffs some. "If this is to be anything more than schlock it's going to need a lot more wyld to it's flavor." He said pulling some levers as he worked away. "base 12 Gematria Draocht incsribed into the ..... HEY.. damnitfuckingshitgashew shew... out of here you damn neer, you can't be in here while I'm working you will mux everything up! "

Re: CHAPTER 2 - Hell on Ear-... er... Mars.

Huoshui tended to his hand as best he could, before being told to leave. To which be bowed and left to sit and try to meditate a bit while he worked on his partner. The trials he put his body though he often thought if this was all the right thing, but maybe that could be a focus of his meditation. Drawing inwards from his chi, meditating till he was summoned again who awoken. He could try to heal later, now he would reabsorb from the universe and find his centre again.

Left to her own devices and aparently not to be taken back to the ship, Develanna did not need to glance around to know herserlf alone.  Thus she decided to wander this amazing place to see just what she could find in the house of a god.  Remembering her earlier lesson, however, she decided to keep her hands to herself.  She exited stage right.

Re: CHAPTER 2 - Hell on Ear-... er... Mars.

Huoshui stood up having somewhat recharged, the pain in his hand quite significant. Scars one obtained along the journey were always a mark of the path one had taken but now his hand was deformed and twisted, functional but he would have to attempt to repair it later. Wrapping a cloth around his damaged hand, he stood up to find Devalanna wandering the halls. "Lady knight, I am sorry for departing so suddenly. My sword... well I now find that I can communicate with its soul and it desired something, do forgive me for leaving you. In penance I might have some of my rice wine left and some cups, maybe you and I can share wine and tales while I wait for my sword." Taking from his small bag he removed two small stone cups and the bottle of wine he had, offering one cup to her.

In all honesry, Dev was glad to find one of her companions for company.  She smiled,

"Ye have no need to beg pardon, good my lord, but I accept it nevertheless!  And I would welcome a drink right the now!"

She took the cup gracefully before adding,

"Thy sword is speaking with thee?  Of a verity?  Indeed there must be a tale there!"

Pouring some rice wine into the small stone up and doing the same for himself. "It seems that since my binding with the Dragon I can now understand the tongue of spirits, or my mind has been open to their world. I am not sure to be honest, but as for my sword. It has been awoken, the spirit was awoken by an old ally of mine. It is a young spirit, and is unable to truly using language but it can convey its desires with me." Looking to the knight with a smile, "I do not know your order's beliefs on the Shen, I believe the name more common for that sphere of higher magics is spirit, but to my order and many others everything has a spirit. Most sleep the long dream however, but with its awakening and the expansion of my own senses I can communicate with it. Though this new ability is untested." He takes a sip of the wine as he explains himself.

Re: CHAPTER 2 - Hell on Ear-... er... Mars.

(Just to note...  huoshui's sword is 100+ years old, enough for it's spirit to be selfaware and have some power of it's own it just needed awoken.  while devalanna's sword is a Phylactery  containing a divine soul. It don't take much in the way of prime to notice this... it would have a legend status if more people knew about the sword for what it really is)
