Just though I would give some info on the fact that basically it's only been 15~20 years sence they have been given basic civil rites as any other self aware being by law, constructs first followed by AIs.

As of now they still do not have all the same rites as people do and there are no laws that they have to be treated as such. The abuse of constructs and AIs are often overlooked, and killing one is more often treated more like destruction of property than murder.

They are facing a similar plight to that of African Americans during the late 60's and into the 70's. There are many people that treat them the same as any other living being, but there are a lot that still think of them as nothing more than property.
