Raven sighed with relief as the exited out into more normal space; after the spirit he'd connected with had shown him what it was like to actually be part of the place, he couldn't get his tail feathers out of there fast enough. "No, it's not because of the splicing. I sing because it seems to help bring about what I want to happen, like getting us into and out of the web wall thingy. As for joining your religion, though I do appreciate your help on my veteran's home project, I'm afraid I must decline. I already have a Boss you see, and if I were to try to leave Her for yours, She'd eat him for lunch and use me as he toilet paper eight hours later.
"Go ahead and make a pamphlet if you like, but I think the monk worships a dragon and the knight is loyal to some God of valor or virtue, or one of those 'v' words. Anyway, I think you'd be wasting your time with either of them. My honorary brother Tex, the other crewmember with four arms, I think your path wouldn't have enough action and violence in it to suit him. Also, he could already be spoken for too I just don't know it.
"Now the girl who snuck onboard, Inks I think her name was? I know shit about her, and she's at a young, impressionable age. I think you stand your best chance taking a shot at her, but that's completely between the two of you of course."
