So yeah should I make rolls for regaining the various things I can through meditation?

Well after a couple meditations Huoshui is in a better state but not great. At least gives him some ammo for whatever might come in the near future.

Well as I've placed myself in meditation for a bit feel free to choose when I can rejoin. I'd be happy to aid in bringing the others in or if Raven needs a box opened heh. The monk lives to serve.

Well while the others have an in depth discussion on the nature of birds and bees, and other cute animals, I'll go exploring then.

Looking over the adjusted rulings of Do, I would be happy with these new rules but if it is needed for something more I believe I've still got exp which I can use to keep my Do level by spending around in the limbs.

Was curious what people thought was fair.... advance kinda makes it real fucking hard to get 5 lol

Well over the course of things I've tried to spread Huoshui's dots into all limbs and plan on continuing as such. Advanced does seem quite mad and your house rulings seem a decent inbetween so I would be willing to go with them.

Just going over my abilities, combining Sparrow Flight (Do),  leap of the kangaroo/Hare’s Leap (Yùtù) and Plum Flower Blossom (Do)... I think I can fully do that wire fu stuff from movies. All matrix and crouching tiger, hidden dragon here.

Double jumping, while having my normal jumps be stupid long at least double my normal ability.

Oh side note, Warning to Raven. Training under Huoshui may have some negatives, if certain techniques are desired. For example

Iron Hand - Bypass one level of soak, of highest soak level (eg. Armour)

All fun and games till you see the next part in the book. "Unfortunately, the Tao-shih’s hands are permanently numbed, imposing a +1 penalty to Perception or Dexterity rolls involving fine motor coordination or tactile sensitivity." I've been keeping note of this, not come up much with Huoshui. So much of the Do training involves damaging your body haha.

Is it just me or does the idea of this forge and making artifacts kinda sound like it would be rather fun. Even just coming up with ideas for some sounds fun.

but yah generaly all it dose is act as a level 1 node.... higher if placed in orbit over a celestial body.... 5 if in the same kinda orbit it is in right now.... anywhere from 2~10 depending on where it is placed and how well it is tied into with collectores and other such things anywhere else or with any other sort of things attached onto it to up it's collection

generaly though in orbit of sun or over a powerfull node on the earth is the best, next best would be a gass giant...

anyway... it can sore up to 50 quentessence (think it has around 30 right now)

can brake something down into raw quentessence, but takes quenessence to do so.

Can purify something's essence, takes a bit of quenesence

and can quicken an artifact finishing the creation prossess, takes a LOT of quentessence as much as it normaly would and then a tad more.... generaly looking atleast 25 quentessence for your avrage artifact.


downside, can't make hypertech.... but then again hypertech is generaly easier to make once you have figured it out... harder to figure out though lol

upside it can be used to make artifacts by unskilled or bairly awake individuals if they have instructions to follow .....  in the case of offten made artifacts that have a set way of being made, they are kinda a static spell so if they can just make it right and get the right stuff they only need the right energys the fordge to help

Yeah been looking into the process of Wonders, trinkets, artifacts and such. For inspiration but also the examples are just good. For example with in the past our group being hunted or searched for by various groups and forces one of the examples I've seen in the 20th anv book is the bafflejack. It just blurs the impressions a wearer has on recordings and witnesses.

Really though what I do look forward to is the story and feel we might be able to put into items we make. I've already got too much in mind for the monk's sword, its past and how its grown. To think that we can write such things for our own items like another example I've seen of wonders this time from the Akashic book.

Daft thing is about the curse and what happens when they meet is they just stop being magical. Their opposing energies counteract and they come into harmony becoming normal swords.

hehe, neat.... there are a lot of nifty artifacts in stock if you read the books.

Oh yes, been going through the forged by dragon's fire book.

Unbullets, they heal as much as they would normally damage, seem quite useful for long range healing.

Beast cloak, a fetish with the spirit of a beast and when worn you turn into that beast.

Werewolf paw amulet, gives you a limited version of the healing ability of a werewolf... though it is an actual part of a werewolf so would attract their hatred.

Then the tattoos. Pattern ripping claws and shapeshifting.

Grimores allow you to swap a perm will for a arete increase. Primers allow awakening in sleepers.



Just some examples found, but with the forge I was thinking it might be interesting to give Raven some magic bullets. There must be quite a bit we could put into them with our combined spheres.

Hey all!  I may be MIA for a bit as my Dad is either within a month of dying -- or not, depending on who we listen to.  All we know at this point is that he is in a nursing home that sucketh muckly and we are going to change him ASAP.  I will hang in as long as I can, but if I have to be AFK for awhile, I will tag in someone to cover for me.
