Hey all!  I may be MIA for a bit as my Dad is either within a month of dying -- or not, depending on who we listen to.  All we know at this point is that he is in a nursing home that sucketh muckly and we are going to change him ASAP.  I will hang in as long as I can, but if I have to be AFK for awhile, I will tag in someone to cover for me.

I like cat gut rat-kin gift/fetish they skin a were (note that dont necessarily kill them) and use the skin to make armor.... its 3 to all forms of damage, with no penalty, and binds to the user for free shape shifting with them..... how ever any members of the offended race that recognize its sorce material make an imideate frenzy check (and good luck hidding that smell fully)

Its almost as nice as debs fae armor but that one nasty draw back...and the speculation of getting the materials to make it lol

Yeah seems we awakened really aren't supposed to use such magic items according to the wolves. Some rules say even items like my sword would upset them as they'd see it as a soul bound to servitude. Some people just want to keep soul magic to themselves don't they? Just not trusting.

Well I can speak for my fellow Awakened here, but the Monk's paradigm doesn't fit well with the idea of wearing the skin of another animal. Sounds like it would be dripping with Jhor even if the creature lived after.

Yah would have to be special sercemstances or some ritual where you killed it.... and defently not something sentient

Well assuming the forge needs resources, our own quintessence and any physical stores we have to hand. I've still got 2 pebbles with Yin/Yang primordial resonance. The monk himself has fluid dynamic resonance. I'm trying to think of what might be good to build for Edith, I mean the monk wouldn't wish to make for himself and with a possible new friend/ally he'd be wishing to gift something.

@Edith; Sorry I reacted so strongly to your OOC, that was a bad way to handle the situation and I apologize. This is a game and we're all here to have fun, not fuss and fume and whatnot. You didn't know Tink was Raven's familiar, I shouldn't have faulted you on something you weren't aware of.

That reminds me, I need to get you Tink's sheet some time now that he's an actual familiar. Also do you plan on putting points into the background? (to try and get some obidiance out of him)  if the RP works out the opertunity?

It was one of the things I was considering, among others. I'll talk over my ideas with you, and we'll see what comes of them.:)

Once he becomes a familiar proper he has bondsharing, which is nice. Lets you do DND type familiar things... like seeing through his eyes and the like.

Maybe if you make nice with Edith, she might know the ritual to set up a familiar's bond. lol

Hey all!  I remember fondly the good old days when my parents took care of life's little pains ... now taking care of the parent is life's little pain.  And thanks to Raven, my Dad's house got cleaned out before the S.o.B.'s at the reverse mortgage place could lock down the house.

Anyhow, my house looks like a yard sale hurled all over it.  But I will keep up as much as possible, and Az, we need to get Numina a sheet.  Just remembered.

yah Tink is not the more anoying and hard to get rid of than helpful, though now that the gremlin is bought off the hard to get rid of can be helpful in it's own right....

But yah Raven spent like YEARS dealing with an anoying ass bird he could not get rid of... he could compleatly destroy him but he would come back over and over and just heal back from near nothing.

Tink has:

Insubstantial - 7
Regrowth - 6
Rapid healing - 6

(original draft had him having imunity - death  but I changed my mind knowing he wanted to make him a familer eventually, so it could be considered he lost that ability when he bacame a familar... trading bondsharing and thought sharing for it? *shrugs* hehe)

but all in all it means he can make himself invonerable to physical damage and he can regenerate (quickly) from even the smallest of little picces left behind.

I was thinking of the Get Smart Cone of Silence as well.

What a goddamn shame that some folks who are allowed to play these games are so insecure that they do not know the difference between the character and the character's PLAYER.  It also rankles that their insecurity makes them too eager to proclaim that they are victims of a bully and huff off in some sort of midbeguided righteous indignation rather than COMMUNICATE to resolve their perceived problem.  And I say perceived because they choose to be judge, jury and whiny victim all by herself.  Fucking WAH!  Please feel free to stop being a victim and join the grown-ups in mature play.  And when one declares oneself to be completely innocent of ANY wrong-doing, one should make sure by COMMUNICATING with others to make sure that this is so as well as making sure that one's first language is English when playing an English speaking game.  This avoids mistakes make in understanding what is being said.  Far fewer voluntary victims that way.

I had fears things would fall apart and it is a shame they have.

As to how to handle this... well not knowing what is coming to the crew would it be ill for her to just fall into being like any of the others of the NPCs around us guiding us through the environment?

Heya Az -- if you do not feel comfortable running her character as an NPC, then bring in one of your own NPCs.  As for how to go one from here ... how about a glitch in the matrix thing?  We all wake up where we were  going and the newcomers were gone.  No explanation, nothing anywhere akin to answers.  We might even be told that there were sno such people on the journey.

Just a thought.
