Re: OOC talk

vaguely related, since we're having Gear Talk: Can the powerglove hold more procedures than it can run at once, storing them? Or do I have to swap them out somehow. Where do I get more procedures? What abilities are required to program them in?

Re: OOC talk

It can only be loaded with what it can run, but you can carry as many as you want. And typically you buy them or get a techmage write them up for you.

In reply to Azraile (msg # 9):

Closer to a seeking, I'll take that. If my CS is anything to go by I've still got exp to spend anyway. xD

Re: OOC talk

You want to see why many celestial chorus people are seen as crazy... and the obsessive ones tend to actually go crazy quite often?

Watch this movie, or read the plot:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pi_%28film%29

This is the exact same kinda thing they deal with. lol

Gods unspeakable name is seen by some to be the same thing the celestial chorus is after, the one song of creation or the voice of the one.

Many are numerologist, math and music go hand in hand quite heavily. Paticuarly well with Phi and the Fibonacci sequence.

Re: OOC talk

like that movie. the drill scene hurts. it does
tend to be a hard to fit the understanding of the
universe in a little human head. probably why
mages have to warp reality(^^). the director is
quite good at portraying crazy in a way you can
feel. although i don't know that i would recommend
any of his other movies.

Re: OOC talk

It's not just the mind trying to comprehend something it can't even contain, it's the obsession to find it out.

The chorus is all fine and good, but the ones who get obsessive about there goal get wonky lol

Re: OOC talk

obsession tends to have a warping effect all on
it's own. something about zealotry lends to
this. i wonder what insanity has been lost among
the hidden nature of the ahl-i-batin.

Finding them may well be insanity(^^). With Mount
Quaf torn apart i wonder what they think of
reality. Along with the talk of the doctrine of
unity with its perversion through conversation with
the beast.

Re: OOC talk

"'sballs!* but those were  moments that I will ne'er have back!  See it?  Thou hast not the vast amount of coinage that could force me to see such a thing!  Indeed did I also get the same headache as the hero of this story -- and I use the name hero out of kindness alone -- and still doth mine own head ache and stomach roil.  Numina hath tossed her own victuals into a pail and is e;en now winging her way north to find the storyteller and poureth it onto his head!  Fear not O Azraile, for I did bespeak good sense into her reason to save the gragon donuts from her nether regions for the head of Ix's player an she can find him.

I find that music and poetry are far closer to Divinity than numbers ::draws sword:: and do ye not natter at me that these are numeric in nature as well lest I name the heretic nd witch and hand thee thy sit-upon into thy very hands!

Most of a human nature can count to twenty , save for Raven who did claim that he couldst count to thirty-one ... but an it please thee do not ask him for the demonstration of such lest he use it as an excuse to droppeth his breeks yet again!  Yea verily can I count higher for despite mine own blondness I am smarter than the average bruin; higher functions I can master with mine own calculator.

I bid all of thee lords and ladies to have a most pleasing end of week.

Peace and roses,
Dev who is only a bit bored

Re: OOC talk

They likely didn't have much to do with that stuff....

It just came up from the akashic record when they where trying to figure stuff out.

Re: OOC talk

@devalanna: no math is not much in your sword or
poetry. music, unless it deviates from current
structure, kinda. math is but an abstraction and
only computers can pretend to create notes that
are equal. the question become if in reality you
can find two ones that are equal. for example is
one apple equal to another or are they all subtly
different? it's a question of precision that
reality will not match. even in two of ravens
fingers(^^). as math is an abstraction how much
can it relate to reality? all metaphores fail.

as far as pi goes isn't insanity fun?

@azraile: i had thought earth's(and everywhere
else's) correspondence point would be wrapped up
in mount quaf, as with the virtual web. so when it
imploded with a reality bomb i had assumed the
ahl-i-batin and virtual adepts would be pissed and
warped. of course observing a thing is different
from being part of it so confusion would make
sense.

yah but the VA don't fully understand the mountain or prime correspondance points.... the idea that a planet has one point where all points flow through is understandable... but that it was... let alone can be destroied is a little much...

lol

and yah see the discriptions of stuff for earth....

The middle east is one masive death storm that no one that goes in ever comes back out.... and well ... yah it's just.... uglykinda like Jupiter red spot, only black

Oh no. Oh nooo. I adore computers sassily reading off lists. I love Raven's suit already. Oh dear.

Re: OOC talk

yah I whent with some what sassy based off his comments to it...

Raven wanted an interesting VI, and I figured the suit could analyze the way raven was acting and the fact he wanted a female voice and downloaded a new VI modal that is more fitting for him. Considering his kinda omg what a dumn computer responce a sassy computer bitching back was a good fit lol =p

He did say he knew nothing about computers and he wanted the suit to do as much for him as it could. lol
