Devellana pondered the miracle that was her Numina until the discussion of the unknown caught her attention.

Raven sighed.

"Well damn, I wouldn't have minded getting a look at this mystery ship first. You sure we couldn't tag along first, and split off on the way back? It'd be a nice change of pace, seeing something that's not plants or dinosaur dung."

He hums rubbing his chin. "I guess... I would have to talk to the boss though, safer to approach Thetis on land. Trying to approach from the south or east would leave us visible for to long crossing the lake."

Re: CHAPTER 3: Blood in the Water

Waking his mind from focusing on the inner, failing to hear anything from the slumbering dragon, the monk spoke up. "If there is anything we might offer to aid in our request do come to us. We are a group of a fair number of skills. Magic and mundane, I am sure we would offer all if given sufficient purpose."

He sighed some. "I'll ask." he moves off the side and gets on the radio... then comes back. "Not a fan of crossing the river into the area like I said, but they are defiantly fans of getting there faster. So there in on it, besides could use more people watching out back down there."

"Waters I know but I'm sure you can tell me how these ones shall not be like those of my home or those of places I've visited. We thank you for your accepting our offer, I pray you shall see it a worthy venture." Hands together bowing his head in thanks, "Let us go forth then friends. To see new sights and aid each other."

Edith frowned. Cults meant fanatics plus magic- a bad combination. "What kind of cult?"

The girl shrugs. "Now thats the thing it's a RUMORED cult of Life mages worshiping Venus and the power over life she holds."

"A RUMORED cult that has been the cause of a good many disappearances of people headed into that area."

"people like us that work agents the planets nat-"

"I supose you think we should be out here with carts and bows?"

"That... that's not what I meant just the people going missing are always survey crews, hunters, and the like."

Re: CHAPTER 3: Blood in the Water

"The only cult I am familiar usually sits upon time. Verbena are of life, though of course my own specialisation spread from mind to life." Feeling someone might add that cult was not always bad, Sahajiya or the cult of ecstasy were hopefully not what this involved. Even if their sphere was time, so he was guessing this was something deeper and unique to this planet. "Taking the rumored discussion out of things, if this force or cult had been active is there anything in operation currently at their door? If there are whisperings and murmurs of their possible existence, other than what they leave behind such assaults is there much clue. Do they have a style or fashion to which they are rumored to follow?"

Re: CHAPTER 3: Blood in the Water

Raven sat with his arms crossed about his chest, listening to the chatter around him; salvage runs to classified ships, secret cults rumored to make people vanish; now this was definitely more interesting than having silent bets with himself as to if the next pie of dino dung would be bigger or smaller than the last.

"He's paranoid about it, there just rumors and stuff. People go missing all the time out here, the fact there was quite a few up in the same area don't help."

"Maybe but people have seen the forest glowing out there, the tree's giving off light and stuff moving about in them."

"Where's the vid's then? I think it's just some spooky hermits and misunderstandings and if there is a cult out there they probably just want to be left alone."

Re: CHAPTER 3: Blood in the Water

"Paranoia for some, for others in an environment such as this I am sure they'd just call it reasonable caution. In a world so open to the life magics of our universe, who is to say such things might not exist. Certainly without solid evidence we cannot for certain say that they exist, but why not give a critical eye to things. How much investigation has gone into searching for them? I am sorry if I am just stirring an already boiling pot of an argument but the idea of glowing foliage is not unknown to me. On my homeworld we lived on growing floating plant islands, our magi will workers would often gift lighting plants. They found it more fitting for our natural homeland than the lighting traders would give us."

"I say we go to the ship, and if we find this group itching for a fight all the better in my book. I wouldn't mind poking my beak into whatever is at the crash site, and a chance for some target practice after just makes it that much sweeter to me."

Not wishing for a fight but we have tried to aid others with the coming storms which have ravaged their lands. We might even be the first to see these glowing forests and be the first to record."

Re: CHAPTER 3: Blood in the Water

They agree to the plan mainly because they want to get to the ship faster, but aren't happy about the path back and with more time on there hands would rather take a longer route to avoid crossing the water. The trip is miserable but mostly uneventful, a pack of raptors and some suppressing fire keeps most things away. However it's hot, and your constantly fighting off disease and insects the size of cats. While the protection of the suits keep you from getting sick, most of you feel miserable to one degree or another.

When you grow close enough a medium sized science/scout type of some sort of a frigite's size is seen in terrible shape wrecked over the steep creator side, signs clearly show it's pulled slowly down coming appart... some of the ship has already sunk underwater.

One of the hunters let you know. "We are getting life signs of a Spinosaurus in the waters around the ship... Are any of your skilled in using forces? We can't fight something like that on land and the far shore is to steep. If we can drag that thing to land we can fight it and not have to worry about it.... otherwise I we are going to lose more time going around it.  Shouldn't be to hard if we can drag it onto land and take it on with the raptors and big guns. But we don't want to fight something like that unless we have to, that is unless we can keep it pined down on land."

Notes dino's are a little bigger here... think ark:

Re: CHAPTER 3: Blood in the Water

The ship has markings of Ganymede's colonial government but the build of the ship is unrecognizable.... what ever kind of ship it is, no one in the crew or amungst the hunters have seen anything like it. It's ether a very seldom seen ship, or possibly from the rush to get to it, a prototype or one of a kind. The name on the hull is "CCG The Miller".

Re: CHAPTER 3: Blood in the Water

Raven spent the time making small talk and smoking, not seeming that bothered by the conditions he found himself in which in truth he wasn't; going for a career in the military pretty much guaranteed spending time in less than five star locales along with spending long hours in hours including sleeping in it if required, and being a bird meant there was a flying buffet for him all the way to the ship which he definitely didn't mind.

When they finally arrived at the craft itself, he looked over it with idle curiosity until he noticed the name and markings at which point the eyebrows he once had would have lifted if he hadn't spliced them into nonexistence. He moved away from the main group, motioning for the monk and knight to follow him until he found a spot he was fairly sure would allow them to not be overheard. He kept his eyes peeled for anyone else coming in their direction, and would go silent if noticed them.

"Between the markings and name, that thing is connected to all three of us; the two of you for your homeworld, for example. Someone or something wanted to make sure we didn't miss it either, putting it in giant print right there on the thing for us. It's either a trap, bait for one, or some unknown being somewhere wanted us to have this wreck for whatever reason. The problem is there's no way I know of to find the answer, not without going inside. Iff anybody's got thoughts of their own, I'd love to hear them right about now..."

Re: CHAPTER 3: Blood in the Water

Huoshui took as much in as he could, following in the footsteps of all who survived in the wild madness of this world and others. "My steps to the world of forces is as a child's first when a babe. My aid is limited." He would try if asked but he knew his limits and was not a fool to press beyond his limits without thought.

"We could send our awareness towards it. Other than that yes and expedition is needed." Focusing and spreading the first levels of his ways to it, sense cast forward seeking all there is he could find failing or succeeding in this the movement was as Raven had said. To enter and explore inside.
