Need to know who is still around and still interested and your thoughts on NWoD

I think we should reset back before we left the city for one as it is a point where we can add new people in, and otherwise we would have to wait till we ether got to a fitting location for a char that wants to drop in, or until they got back to town.

Pushing on and working people in is fine with me though and it would get things moving again faster.

Also looking into NWoD a lot and think moving the system over to that would make a lot of things easier and the combat a LOT faster, and it wouldn't brake the game any to let everyone roll for combat themselves.

There are a lot of NWoD rules that are a lot better, and can just keep the same old setting and the way things work and use that stuff.

I'm all for continuing to play Raven, but do we want to bother with new people? They do fine in their separate threads, but don't seem to last long when we're all supposed to join up. We had the 12 year old mechanic and the woman who was supposed to grow plants on the ship, both of which dropped out of site not all that long into the game. These aren't the only ones, but they are both good examples of the GM investing a lot of time in approving their sheets then integrating them into the current game, only to ultimately have that investment of time tossed out the window with nothing to show for it.

Then there's us, the players; we try to get a rhythm going with these players and their characters, only to end up sitting on our rumps waiting for posts that never come from players that vanish.

I vote we just keep going with however many of our party our still around, but that's only one vote so everyone else feel free to chime in.:)

I'm all for getting the game going again with or without new players. While new players can bring in fresh energy and ideas, they can also (as Raven said) vanish without a trace. Since the GM is going to be the one to put all the work in, it's up to him whether to add more players or stick with the ones that are here. It might be worth making new players lurk for a little while to make sure this is a game they actually want to play.

I like 2nd edition, especially the way Reaches are used to make the same spell different. I doubt there'd be too much trouble shifting characters over.
