Miriana Thakun:
In reply to Skyrah Valentine (msg # 7):

- "...Mmhhm..."

Miriana slowly woke up in response to the shaking, took a deep breath and climbed out of bed as the words 'report' and 'briefing' sunk in. She glanced at the clock, telling her it was half past four, though with them being in space the Masters only knew what the actual time was. She stumbled to the sink to splash some cold water on her face before getting dressed.

- "Nnya know wha's that about?"

"My guess, emergency mission."
Miriana's appearance obviously did not concern Skyrah at all, as she knew about Zentradi, Invid, and the MAsters. It was her job. "Now please get up. We will be late."

She will wait for MAriana, then when both are ready will head to the briefing room.

During the briefing, Skyrah will draw in a little drawing pad as she sat there.

Re: Operation Stealth Rescue

Miriana looked a little disheveled at the briefing, but was present on time. She did her best to listen, but was quiet and sat in the back, trying hard to remain focused. She did raise her hand though.

- "Zentraedi ship... That's full-sized, right? How you gonna talk to them?"

She raised her hand above her head to indicate the size difference, which she figured to be the main problem in establishing communication. It was hard to notice what was easily overlooked, and Micronians were easily overlooked at those heights.

Re: Operation Stealth Rescue

"The gift I was referring to is the Zentraedi ship; a resource that could prove to be quite a boon to the fleet.

As for communication, I figured we would probably primarily be attempting communications electronically. Once we have established a rapport then we can work on face to face communications; it may be that we simply have to be in mecha to facilitate that."

In reply to Cerise (msg # 22):

Kaarle continued to listen to the back and forth during the meeting, he tried to focus on the mission but was more concerned over Michelle's well being at the moment.  Sure a Zentraedi ship was always great if we could capture it however that was a big assumption.  He wasn't here to plan or negotiate, he was here to fight and follow orders.  He hoped this wouldn't turn into another blood bath so soon after the last...

Michelle kept her blood shot eyes forward till she notice kaarle glance back, then her eyes hit the floor in shame.

She prayed for the briefing to end so she could talk to the medic and hide inside her alpha.

Another thought crossed the Energy Mage's mind.

"What do you know about the system the Zentraedi vessel is adrift in? Either from old Tyrollian or Zentraedi data? Inhabited, deserted, unexplored?

In reply to Cerise (msg # 27):

Her knowledge of tactics kicked in. "Zentradi are a warrior race, so using mecha to communicate could be good or bad. They might take more respect if we showed our faces. I suggest stepping out of the cockpit and using the PA in a manner that they can see us physically." She said in though, then her knowledge of tactics went further as data on the system was brought up. "If there is no data available we'll likely have to scan the planet upon arrival into the system, and then send a recon to look at any structures or sources of communications." She said as she continued to sketch in her tablet, which also demonstrated that she was paying perfect attention at the same time.

As the meeting came to an end, and all of the questions that were asked and answered, Iphigenia stood up.

She didn't have any questions she was simply curious as to why Michelle kept glancing at her and really just wanted out of the room.

She went to Thirteen and stopped him before he left "I'm curious, did you like the chocolates that I left for you on your bed?" she wanted to make sure he got them.

She was still carrying the bag of candies that she had bought for Michelle and after talking to thirteen she was going to try and talk to Michelle and give her the bag of candies, then she would go finish getting prepared for the now mission.

- "Is its type known? The Zentraedi had several types of scouting vessels, depending on the mission parameters. Then there is the difference between a Zentraedi and a Meltrandi vessel... More information would be... pleasant."

Miriana had mostly woken up by now, though there were still some odd pauses here and there. Talking about emotions was still something she was trying to master.

I will be uploading all of the scan data to each of your computers, and all data will be in the mechas' combat computers."

Re: Operation Stealth Rescue

GM NOte: I am NPCing Cerise for this post as I have the info she lacks.

Cerise notes the time; Speaking; "You have forty minutes to have your combat gear and weapons before you report to the shuttle hanger bay. So unless there are any other questions you are dismissed." The way she emphasized the last statement told everyone there would be no more questions. She then touches a button and ten seconds later everyone's tablets receives the following.

There are  11 planets, 3 gas giants, six dwarf, 2 roughly the size of earth. non are in the sweet zone for life to have evolved. The ship is drifting near the second gas giant, there is a debris/ice ring around it. No there is no data on the system.

GM Note: This is common knowledge to all players and Members of the fleet.
This is the furthest out the UEEF/sentinels have ever been. This includes all the Zentraedi in the Fleet, All that High Command has been able to find on this particlal section of space was it once belonged to their empire. So they have sent this fleet to Explore/investigate and set up a colony world that will allow them to set a forward base to work from. This is part of your over all mission, your going to try and gather information on the regions.

As soon as they are dismissed Michelle jumps up and speeds after Corpsman Ramsbottom avoiding Kaarles eyes as she jumps past him, not wishing to displease her commanding officer any further. She is visibly shaking; "Corpsman Ramsbottom, Corpsman Ramsbottom". she whispers once she has her attention; "I need your help please, I know there is a shot that the pilots have taken to cure them of the effects of alcohol effect. Please, I need one of these so Lieutenant Cherkovshi grounds me." Her eyes are pleading for you to help her as she violently shakes standing in front of the Medic.

Re: Operation Stealth Rescue

Iphigenia replies to thirteen, saying, “Well I ‘m glad you liked the chocolates, next time we go on leave, I’ll get you some more for you, or I can at least show you where to get them.” Out of the corner of her eye she noticed that Michelle had gotten up in a hurry, practically knocked over everybody in her way to get to Iphigenia saying "Corpsman Ramsbottom, Corpsman Ramsbottom" and then she was standing next to her.
She looks at thirteen and says “Excuse me Thirteen, LT. Grey sounds as though she needs my help.”
Iphigenia leans in a little closer to hear what Michelle was telling her, noticing that the closer she got the more she visibly uncomfortable she was.  She finally heard what she was saying.   "I need your help please, I know there is a shot that the pilots have taken to cure them from the effects of alcohol. Please, I need one of these so Lieutenant Cherkovshi grounds me."
Iphigenia thinks for a moment, and says  “Yes, there is a shot, it’s called the “magnetic nanoparticles shot” it is used for the removal of various noxious compounds including toxins, pathogens, and proteins from whole blood in an extracorporeal circuit similar to the old way of removing impurities by dialysis.  But we will have to go to sick bay for administer it."

Thirteen nods to Iphigenia and nods. He sees Michelle come towards them and a sad expression comes to his face in seeing hee in rough shape. Still, he could tell thay privacy was wanted.

Thirteen turns and walks away in order to ready his armor and cyclone. As he did he thought about what he could remember about Zentradi. He was disturbed that he could remember so many ways to kill.

She greets the group with a friendly smile as she sways into the room. Sniper rifle in hand. She looks at the team and secretly wonders who will be coming home on this mission.

Re: Operation Stealth Rescue

You each have grabbed your gear and your way to the Shuttle Hanger bay. The three Alphas and the troop transport Beta are being tended to by their crew being over seen By Kariza. Each of your mecha is on the hanger. The Peryton skimmer appears to be attached under the Right beta wing where missile pods would normally be.  The silver back has a cable attached to it so that the Alpha beta can bring it along. There is a Striker Battloid on the deck being tended to as well. Thirteen, Skyrah, Miriana and Michelle look to see which of the NERV pilots would be stepping out of the shadows. Miriana, Thirteen, Sillia and Iphigenia see their mecha next to the beta. The two cyclones are folded up and the  two hunter Killer suits stand right next to them.

As you each dawn your CVR armor, a large green Zentraedi accompanied by Lt. Fell, the commanders personal assistant approaches your group, she is holding her ever present tablet in her hand as she walks straight towards your assembled group. She gives a hand signal to several deck crewmen. Who push two carts over. The two techs start handing each of you helmets. For everyone not in command they hand you the new Cyclops Recon Helmets. Cerise, Kaarle and Miriana are given new Command Helmets “The Boss”, which look identical to the standard CVR-3 Helmets. You are all instructed to place them on and a second later they are coded to your individual eye retina’s. ( http://wiki.rpol.net/?edit=47792/cvr3 ) Lt. Fell informs you of the overall abilities of the two new upgrades.

Lt. Fell tells Cerise she needs to ride in the beta so that she can monitor the radio communications and the sensors. Lt. Grey will handle the piloting and combat. Lieutenants Cherkovski and Valentine will fly cover for the Landing party. Sgt Eshta will be piloting the Striker Battloid to give the marines a heavy hitter mecha, he is the ranking NCO of the group. She tells you good luck and informs to be in the air in ten minutes. Banshee Squad mounts up and belt in to their seats in the Transport Beta.

Cerise:
Cerise returns to her room, double checks her gear, then hurries off to the hangar. She double checks her Silverback and prepares it for the deployment.

As everyone finishes their preparations, she says "Great job team! Wraith, don't forget; if we meet hostile force, we need to maintain discipline, since we're trying to be diplomatic. Everyone test comms and we'll launch on command from the bridge."

And, once the comm check is done:

Then minutes later the two Delta’s are leading the way out of the hanger followed by the Striker, Lt. Grey takes off slowly as she pulls the silverback out behind her and then pulls it closer to the Aircraft keeping it from becoming a hazard. It takes several minutes and several rotations spins to right it. The craft make their way to the UES Mask and take their position as Mask Actual told them. The Alphas activate their shadow cloaking devices as the UES Mask remind them to keep radio silence before folding.

Two hours later the UES Mask defolds near the Ice chunks and rock ring in orbit of the Gas giant. The signal lights give the team the greenlight and your off.  A twelve hour countdown clock appears in the left top of each of your helmets, and is down twenty minutes as you approach the rear of the Zentraedi Scout ship. A quick recon flyby by Lt. Valentine reveals that there is a lot external damage with no signs of life. But there does appear to be an opening under the engines where a shuttle door was left open. She believes it is the best option for entry.  As she continues to slowly circle the vessel.

GM Note: Ok everyone, one or two quick post to get you to this point as it is time for your mission. Thank you.

Re: Operation Stealth Rescue

Looking back at Kaarle, she quickly follow Iphigenia to sickbay and despite her fear she focuses on breathing and getting out of there as fast as she can. No sooner then Iphigenia saying done, she runs as fast as possible back to her quarters where she finishes her make up and changes into her flight suit before she goes and collects her Armor and weapons.

She is running trying to make sure she does not disappoint her commander again. When she arrives she smiles with ten minutes to spare. She greets Sillia and the others and though she smiles and tries to hide her blood shot eyes and the fact she is still not one hundred percent. She moves next to Kaarle and says softly; "Sir, I went to sickbay and won't let you down, Sir." her eyes are almost begging with this next bit; "Please don't ground me, Sir."

She recognizes the Zentraedi, Korvan as one of the Commanders friends. Then when she receives the new recon helmet, she frowns and say she does not like it. But does not refuse to put it on when ordered to do so.

When Cerise gives the order to do radio check she complies quickly.

Before take off she tells Cerise that she has set the Beta's autopilot with two set of coordinates, one to the Zentraedi Scout and one to return to the Mask given planned Coordinates for extraction in case something happens. She then tries to lighten the mood by talking to those in the Beta; "Ok ladies and gentlemen we are about ready for take off, please put your tray and seats up and in their up right positions and thank you for flying deaths airway."

while they are in the fold process she looks around to make sure no one can peer into her cockpit.

when they defold she follows the two Delta's and makes sure the Striker battloid is not left behind as they make their the approach to the Zentraedi vessel.

Re: Operation Stealth Rescue

Kaarle listened throughout the meeting, he went through the motions of acknowledgement and saluting and did everything he had been trained to do...his heart just wasn't in it though.  There was something far darker and more sinister afoot with these kids and here they were flying off chasing after ghosts of Zentraedi past.  He shook the thought out of his head just as Michelle accosts him on her way to sick bay to get med for her hangover.

Michelle Grey:
She moves next to Kaarle and says softly; "Sir, I went to sickbay and won't let you down, Sir." her eyes are almost begging with this next bit; "Please don't ground me, Sir."

"How many times do i have to tell you to stop calling me sir?" he says jokingly to try and get her to calm down.  "You needn't worry about being grounded...your an adult now, piss me off and it's PT" he says with a smile before making his way to the hanger and on with the mission.

He knew what she meant by not being grounded but couldn't help picking on the kid just a little, she just lucky he didn't go full bore while she was nursing the hangover.  Kid or adult it didn't matter, she was a weapon after all, beautiful and deadly...

That realization bothered him more then any other aspect of their missions to date.

Cerise examines the helmets and listens to the full description. "This represents a major increase in our inter-communication capabilities. It is ironic that the command helmets are designed to blend into the squad, but, by being that way, they will stick out in our squad. No matter, though; the additional data will be useful."
