As you make your way into the Shuttle hanger you notice the Vulture sitting there ready in combat readiness with its crew standing about nearby with friendly smiles as they notice your arrival. Your mecha (minus Wraith Squadrons, (They are still being repaired or modified)
There is a rainbow of eight mecha, three Striker Battloid ZSB-Z4 Yellow 00 (Rei), Purple 01 (Sinji), Red 02 (Asuka), three Micronian Bioroid MCB-02 (3) Black 04 (Toji), Pink 05 (Mari), White O6 (Kenduke) and two Hunter Killer Power Armor suits one Green with video equipment (Kensuke Aida), and a White with medical insignias in red (Hikari Horaki).

You see on the other side twelve cyclones all black with touches of grey, standing on their kickstands where the Wildcards are milling about. The two which have been escorting Michelle about after the workout and lunch join their squadron.

As you join the groups on the deck you hear the red headed girl say;
“Freak” though you are not sure as to who she was addressing and is quickly suppressed by a soft spoken boy (Sinji).
“Asuka, enough!” which she gives a nasty look back at him in reply.
You are mill about for several minutes and it is then you notice a group of commandos in complete black with weapons lining the edge of the hull. Commander Rockansky and Lt. Fell along with a woman in a black dress uniform wearing a red jacket with her bangs just over her eye brows and her long black hair over her shoulders (Captain Misato Katsuragi, This woman inspires fear in all the kids but Angels squadron. Not paralyzing fear, but she is the voice that they know, fear and hear in their nightmares.)
The Commander tells Lt. Fell to call everyone to formation which she does loud and clear. Each of you falls in with the other members of your respective Squadron behind the officer in charge. The Shuttle Crew falls in behind Cerise, facing the three commanding officers who stand between the shuttle and yourselves.
Commander Rockatansky steps forward, speaking so everyone in front of him can hear him loud and clear.
"Today we start training for advanced assault on reflex point. Our mission is to lead the charge and sabotage the enemy before the fleet arrives. This is the opportunity to prove that we are the best of the best. I expect nothing less than your best efforts on these operations. If you are killed in the training exercise your mecha will be instructed to act as battle field casualties, Alpha squadrons autopilots will kick in and return you to a controlled space for the remainder of the game. Each team and squadron will be scored on performance. As Vulture team is running short on personnel, I have assigned the Wildcards to assist on ground operations. They will report to Lt. Cerise. Angel Squadron is also being loaned out for this operation, and they also will be given to Cerise to accomplish the mission given. That said they are not standard military and do not have ranks. Sinji Ikari is the team leader and Rei Ayanami is considered his second in command. They have been training together almost their entire lives. They cannot give orders to anyone and they only report to Lt. Cerise and Lt. Cherkovski who is Vultures Team second in command."
"Angel and the wildcards will load their mecha in the port cargo pod while Banshee and wraith will be sharing the starboard pod. In battloid mode when being dropped planet side. When wraith squad is flying escort Angel Squad will be split into two for faster deployments. Your first priority is securing your landing area, and getting Vulture ready for emergency take off. Depending on the individual missions given that day you can see different operations after that. Wraith Squadron primary mission is to escort the Vulture planet side and give air support."
"During Training and Wargames, your opponents with be a mix of UEEF and ASC personnel, your combat computers will recognize them as the enemy. There is no need to worry about the computer being tampered with to try and fool it. The Invid are not known to be able to do this so we are running on that assumption for training purposes."
"The debris ring around the Earth will be simulated on your computers and HUDs. So you can use them to help conceal your presence, but your enemy can do the same. Your computers will act like it is really there."
"Over the next few days Wraith Squadron will use flight simulators to train in separate operations while their Veritechs are finished with the needed modifications. They will report to flight simulators after you are dismissed. Banshee, Angel and Wildcards will spend the day training in rapid deployment and reentry and lock down procedure. Starting tomorrow you will begin actual landing and take offs. Which brings me to the training planet; it is not safe to breath. Command is not sure if the immediate area around reflex is safe to breath. So you will practice safety at all times while planet-side. Your dismissed to go about your duties." He turns to Lt. Fell giving her a look.
Lt. Fell looks then points to Kaarle and Michelle and signals them to approach her.
“After training Michelle report to my office. Lt. Cherkovski, the Commander wants you to report to his personal quarters to have a chat. Straight after training, your dismissed.”
