The Gambits Description
Bridge: The command hub of the Gambit, the bridge is restricted Access! Two securities guards clad in CBR-5 tactical body armor and armored with H-260 valiant assault laser rifles, guard this area. There is a pilot’s terminal, navigational terminal, communications terminal, sensory terminal, and two weapons terminals (which each terminal can control any or all the weapon systems aboard the) in addition to the Officer in Command’s terminal.
Captains Quarters: The Captains small room has his bed a large locker and closet at its foot. The Captain gets a private head fully equipped for all the needs. Opposite of the locker is a work desk and self unit built into the wall. The computer and hard wired phone are built into the desk.
Executive Officers Quarters: The EXO’s small room has his bed a large locker and closet at its foot. Like the Captain the EXO gets a private head fully equipped for all the needs. Opposite of the locker is a work desk and self unit built into the wall. The computer and hard wired phone are built into the desk.
Sickbay: The Gambits sickbay much like its science labs are state of the art. There are four exam rooms which also serve as surgical ERs. There are eight patient beds with all the necessary equipment to monitor their occupants. But unless the injuries require the patient to be monitored they are sent to their bunks to recover. There is a small work area for the nurses and doctors on staff.
Engineering: This is where the ship get hers power from. The fold drives and protoculture storage are all part of this section of the ship. All the secondary systems are also housed here.
Briefing Room: There are two briefing rooms on the Gambit A and B. Both are identical to the other. There is a podium wired into the wall video screen behind it. There are four rolls of five desks for taking notes on.
Flight Deck/Hanger: Here is where the Veritechs are housed, stored and repaired as needed. There are movable hoist and pulley systems that are used to work on the damaged Veritechs. Along with the compartments and space to store the equipment necessary to maintain their Veritechs. In fact given time parts and personnel the deck hands could rebuild a disassembled Veritech with the tools housed here. There is also a small area set aside for the deck crew to store their personal equipment when not on duty. Two of the lockers have a brewing still inside.
Horizon Shuttle Hanger deck: Here is where the Gambit’s Horizon Shuttle is housed when not in use. It has its own maintenance crew and tools to maintain their shuttle. There is an entry to the Mecha storage bay here so the Mecha can be loaded quickly for deployment.
Officers Quarters: Officers have a little more private quarters then the enlisted, their quarters are shared with another officer close to their own rank. Their bunks are stacked one on top of the other with a dark curtain for privacy. Each bunk has a small 20” flat screen TV at the foot of the bed and a small shelf that they can put their stuff on including a small lockable drawer between the two bunks. The small room has a small a small desk with a light and their personal lockers on the other side of the four foot aisle space.

Crews quarters: The unisex crew quarters are six bunks to a compartment. The Bunks are stack two high with dark privacy curtains. With four lined up on one wall head to foot and the six personal lockers near the entrance with the other two bunks on the opposite wall. Each bunk has a small 20” flat screen TV at the foot of the bed and a small shelf that they can put their stuff on including a small lockable compartment to store the small valuables. There is a small writing desk at the far end of the four foot isle. With the exception of their bunks there is no privacy here.

Couples Quarters: These quarters are reserved for married couples. The room is 12X10 feet leaving no room for Children which are not allowed to live on the Gambit. There is a full size bed against the far wall with a closet the size of four duty lockers. The bed can fold up into a couch when not locked into the bed position. A flat panel TV is several feet from the door mid way up the wall. there is a small counter with miniature sink with hot and cold water. with several plugins, a small refrigerator sits under the counter to allow the couple some minor luxuries.

Common Room: this is where the soldier come to relax. Various unit patches are on the walls. With limited space aboard the Gambit everyone has to share this space. Two couches sit in front of the large screen panel on the wall to watch movies. Three tables with chairs sit behind them for playing cards or other games. This place usually has informal promotion ceremonies and award presentations followed by unit parties.
Science Labs: The Gambits research and science laps are state of the art. Though not as spacious as the larger ships in the UEEF fleet there is nothing left for wanting within for these work stations.
Lab Zero Zero: This is a classified Lab work area which requires proper clearance to enter. Upon entering one will see, a brightly lit room with twelve Mecha synchro tubes lining three walls opposite of a door, multiple retractable tables can rise and descend from the floor. there are four observations mirrored windows on the walls about twelve feet up.
Observation Room Zero One: This room require proper authorization to enter; A two way mirror looks down into lab zero zero, opposite of the entry. There are twelve monitors on the right wall which shows the occupants in the Mecha Synchro Tubes.
Post Exchange; PX: Here members can perchance personal and recreational items. There is not much room and it is little better then a small bedroom. Not much changes on the shelves when traveling though space though. Usually, the PX’s will get together and trade goods when two or more Earth-operated ships can dock together. Occasionally a member will sell something new (well, used) in the consignment section.

Gym: The Gambits gym is in fairly good shape, it has two treadmills a stair masters machine and a small Varity of weight machines which allows the troops aboard the Gambit to work out. As well as small selection of free weights, jump ropes and handful of rubber mats and the exercise ball. The walls are line with mirrors.
Brig/security office: The ships master at arms office as well as the Gambits security forces lockers are located across the hall from the four detention cells. Each cell eight by eight can hold two persons in their small bunks.
Mess Hall: This is a basic mess hall. There are six round tables for eight opposite of the chow line. There are soda fountain drinks as well as a wide Varity of juices and teas. Salad and two different soups are offered with the afternoon and evening meals. The mess hall is open for the third shifts lunch after that they shut down and clean up till the morning shift only to begin another day.
Armory: This is where the ships small arms and explosives are stored. There is always somebody from security standing guard in full gear, CBR-5 tactical body armor and shield.
Cargo Bay:
Mecha Hanger with connections to both the shuttle and Veritech hanger with elevators and hulls, there is work stations for the maintance crew and tools to maintain their charges.
Officers Lounge: its small dimly lit, room six tables and four booths a couple of pool tables in the back. You have to present your Military Ids to be in here, which informs them if your on duty the following day or not. If you have duty you are cut off after you third drink. All tabs are settled electronically and deducted automatically from your credits.
Enlisted Lounge: Like the Officers lounge this is a small section which almost appears to be an after thought. it has 10 booths lining the walls and six stools lining the bar. There are several dart boards, pool tables and even a couple electronic video arcade games (from the 80s, Pacman, Frogger and Donkey Kong.) While here the Enlist are not required to salute or even address anyone (minus command officers) by rank. this is a place for them to relax and be themselves. And is a popular location for the troops.
When they enter they present the bartender with their id's, and if they have duty the following day, they have a three alcohol drink limit. But they are free to have other beverages. (no food) Credits are deducted automatically.
