Re: OOC Posts II

In reply to Molly 'Mungo' Fuller (msg # 708):

At first I was going to do a more "social" adventure for the girls, but decided that I didn't want anyone to think I was dumbing things down or the like. While (apparently) the girls were all familiar with SW, I think more of them might like Lord of the Rings, due to personal tastes. I have both LotR and The One Ring, that seems like a good idea for next year.

Re: OOC Posts II

So by my counting, the five are Carlyle, Penhew, Jack Brady, Dr. Huston, Hypatia Matthews. That seem right?

In reply to Cynthia Jane Holloway (msg # 710):

I'm sorry for not making this clear, Besart is rambling and wandering a lot. Sometimes the unnamed person is a man and sometimes a woman. However, the fifth surviving European he talks about at the end of the story is likely Penhew. He's just not clear enough.

Re: OOC Posts II

That's okay. I have Penhew in my list of five suspects there though. The only one I think might *not* be there is Jack Brady. Although he said M'Weru was there too, so maybe she's there in place of Brady?

(I can ask IC, just seems like there will be a good deal of back-and-forth pinning faces to names.)

Re: OOC Posts II

In reply to Cynthia Jane Holloway (msg # 712):

Brady is something of an enigma. He was an outsider to the central group brought in by Carlylse as his bodyguard, and grew more suspicious of them (and vice-versa). His soul being unable to be "seen" by the mystic (who said the same of Besart) is not clear.

Following is the mention of "Brass Jack" Brady in Jackson Elias' notes (from the Clues thread):

Additional information on "Brass Jack" Brady might be gained from Besart?

In reply to Cynthia Jane Holloway (msg # 714):

I can't tell what you are referring to, here. Is this in reference to something Besart said or Jackson Elias' notes?

One of the digger's mothers was a mystic or at least had some folklore or wisdom about "seeing souls". She could "see" the main group's souls but not that of Brady or Besart.

I don't recall the digger's mother, but there's so much information, I probably read it and forgot it.

I'm assuming this is the digger's mother, given your last comment.

Ha ha, ok, I was asking what prompted your original comment. I think we're straight. If there is any confusion, chalk it up to Besart being half delirious.

I can imagine with myself and Alex rapidly approaching Cairo as the sun is setting, and the mention of sunset in the Cairo thread that we may be reuniting soon? :)

Hello All,
I am part of a very well run and researched Call of Cthulhu game set in Colonial India. We are looking for a couple of additional players to help us in the wilds of India as we struggle against the darkness.

Shh.  don't listen to him...resistance is futile!  oh wait.. What?  Who said that.

It looks like an interesting game but I'm in my quota of Cthulhu games right now.  Hope you get your extra players.

whew, just got back yesterday from the urban jungle of New Orleans and the... thick, green planty stuff outside of it. I'm sure there's a word for that planty stuff.

I visited New Orleans as a kid in 1980 when I was 12. Aside from Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, I recall seeing a nearby body of water choked with bright green grass and the orange rusting hulks of abandoned ships and boats.

Speaking of the Vimy Commercial, Ralph's player may not know or remember the old bird. It is a converted WWI bomber. It was sold in kit form where the fuselage was replaced wholesale with one that was enclosed for passenger/cargo carrying.

Here is a famous example:

It's only a 1/72 scale kit, made by Revell.

Slight error correction: the Clive expedition is located in Memphis, not Dashur. Memphis is about 15 miles south of the city.

Not the picture! You said "[the old bird] is a converted WWI bomber. It was sold in kit form".

I hope we're not flying in a 1/72th kit. Although that might explain how they got the sarcophagus out.

Ha ha! I actually was joking about the plane in game. I forgot that indeed, there was a photo of a model.

One thing I keep forgetting to mention that you can do is follow up on whatever mysterious item Faraz was asked to steal from the Mosque of ibn Tulun.
