Re: OOC Posts II

I totally understand where you're coming from with that. I've been feeling the heat for the past year, and I've been so thankful the game has been moving a little slower compared to other games. I've had to drop the game I run last month :(

It's going to be tough losing you though. You've been great fun to play with. Hopefully your schedule clears up and you can jump back in!

Thanks everybody.

If Tony doesn't mind, I'll peek in every once in awhile to make sure that Cynthia keeps John-Marc in line.  :)

In reply to Cynthia Jane Holloway (msg # 936):

I certainly am happy for Molly to check in when she feels like!

As well, I am glad this pace suits at least one player and doesn't seem to mind. Maybe I'd like to speed up the pace, maybe not, although I imagine it's been too slow for some players there are trade-offs.

Either way, I'm happy you are all involved and even if all I had were a couple PCs I'd still continue on.

Thanks,

Tony

Re: OOC Posts II

I'll miss Molly a great deal as well.  The slow pace is good for me now that I'm back.  Once I get a bit more caught up I could deal with a bit faster but it's not at all important.

Do we have any weapons on us or was everything lost in the sinking?

In reply to John-Marc Falcon (msg # 939):

Luckily, you should have most of your small arms like pistols. I allowed avoiding the loss of shoulder arms like the Count's heavy rifle and Cynthia's shotgun but I may not be so generous in the future. If JM had a rifle or Lewis gun, assume they were left ashore in case the boat sank and he can access it now.

Re: OOC Posts II

Let's figure that JM has a pistol and the Lewis gun.

In order to not bollux up things at the gate.  Do we want to have JM ask for one of the elders?  Having been absent from the game for a while I'm not sure IC what would be the right approach.

In reply to John-Marc Falcon (msg # 942):

When you were here earlier you met an Imam who translated. We'll say his name is "Abdullah".

You were introduced to several Ulamas, the wise elders.

You were also introduced to the elderly guardians of the Girdle, led by a man with an ancient and mystical scimitar blessed by the Prophet.

I am not certain if you were given their names as such but I'll say you can ask for them.

If everyone is ok with that then I think I'll ask for the Imam who first translated for us.  I think we can best work through him.

Can I empty my pistol at the warrior?  I wasn't sure what rate of fire we can sustain.

I will check my books when I get home. I believe with a semi-auto pistol you can get 4 shots off. Maybe 3 with a revolver. To-hit drops off tp 1/5 skill.

Re: OOC Posts II

In reply to John-Marc Falcon (msg # 952):

According to 5th edition CoC, all pistols can pull off 4 shots per turn, at 1/5 skill level. (There are different firearms rules in the Investigators Firearms book but I ran my sit-down game using 5th edition so there it is.)

Bathony fired too many shots, although only the 3rd shot hits so I'll let the result stand.

If JM hits it's 1D10+2 damage.

IS Cynthia armed with her 20 ga. double-barrel or 10 ga. pump gun?

Thanks,

Tony

Whichever is shorter (and so easier to conceal). I know that could be either, but my imagination, that would be the pump gun.

What's the range? I can roll damage if you'd like.

I would definitely say the 20 .ga is smaller. Those 10 ga. shotguns are beasts!

If I had to guess I'd say both barrels are roughly the same as they are hunting or target-shooting weapons.
