Here's a place where people can advertise their own games, or the games where they're a player and could use more players.

A while ago I joined a freeform game called "Happily Never After", that had a similar idea to "Once Upon A Time" and those kind of shows, where people from an Earth town would find themselves combining somehow with an archetype from Fairy Tales.  The manner of the combination was up to the player and GM to work out, and we've got a few different variations.

The GM had a severe attack of Real Life and was gone for a few months, and wants to start again, and needs some new players, as only a couple have checked in.

     I'm thinking of starting a D20/free-form Star Trek game.  Experimental ship, intrepid crew, mysterious anomalies.

     Characters will play the bridge crew and department heads, with small groups of crewmen at their disposal.

     Literally just came up with this 10 minutes ago, so I'm open to discussion.

     PM me if you're interested in helping to develop it or to join in!

I want to DM again, starting at a modest posting rate.

The game will start very simple, and will be 2-3 posts per week at start. I would like to move this up to 4+ at some point. The system is 3.5, and players will begin at 2nd level, but the plan is to up through to 4th rather quickly. (Quickly, as in everyone begins with negative levels due to story reasons and quickly recovers them.)

The world is semi-low magic (though there's no limitation on PCs).


I've been playing 3.5, DMing and playing, for years and years. I want quality players who want to interact with a world and go through a story together.

hey a game I am in is looking for a Healer type. only looking for 1 player cus our healer had to go for whatever reason.

Rez is a GM with a well earned reputation for being very...fussy.
He has a tendency to lose his temper at the drop of a hat, and ban players, or lash out at anyone who questions his game.

Ah yes, Rez. Never played in a game with him as a GM but did have him as a player in one of mine and he wasn't fussy - that's too polite a way to describe the misery he caused, the demands he made and the players I lost because of him. Then he rage-quit but the game was already dying by then having lost a number of core players who were irreplaceable to the campaign.

Had him as a GM in 6 games. I'm too polite to say anything about the...experience, but when you encounter Xander Xalus, that's our Rez....

I'm trying to join a couple of them, and am currently in intense negotiations.

Right now I'm arguing that a History professor can know European AND American history.
It's been entertaining.

An academic with an understanding of multiple disciplines?? You can't have that. No. Never. I mean who would want to study more than one discipline, even if you're really interested in them both?? It's just a silly idea!!

I mean the rules clearly state that a character can only ever have one knowledge skill, right?? Your head can only hold so much knowledge...

Hello, all!  A game i'm a player in went on hiatus for dm health reasons,  it they're back and want to continue.   Most of the original characters are still there, including yours truly, but there are a couple of openings for new characters

It's a 3rd level dnd game in 3rd edition,  set in the Forgotten Realms,  and with a very generous character creation ser up.     Space is limited,  but feel free to send a PM if you're interested

It's been on hiatus for about a year, but if memory serves it was a medium speed game, somewhat similar to this one, though perhaps a little more regular.

That's fine. I'd rather make a well thought out character than rushed one. Wouldn't be the first game I've been waitlisted on.

What is meant by 'standard books' for character creation? UA? TOB?

Pub, mm, etc. but I am open to other sources if they can be linked to me. (It's my game we're talking about)

Mainly PHB, portions of UA and DMG. I followed character creation, feats and spells on the D20 srd and that's what those 3 books use.

Anything not there I was advised to talk about and suggest before including. So I don't think other books or sources are off limits, but it's a case by case basis.
