Cassandra House

Cassandra House

She lay upon the padded reclining seat, seemingly asleep. Her eyes are closed, and she breathes very slowly. She might even be dreaming, for her eyes seem to move under her lids. Upon her brow lies a diadem sparkling with crystals of varying types and colors, almost as if lit from within.
Nearby, a young girl child tends several braziers, keeping the small stone room warm for her mistress. Now and then, as the waterclock indicates, she tosses a mixture of herbs into the brazier closest to the reclining woman, causing a sweet musky scent to fill the air.

Re: Cassandra House

As Casandra dreamed her mind wandered across the realms. To a jungle far away where two men stood watching an image of a young girl, and man dancing in a dark hall to long forgotten music.
memories rushed back, and filled her mind of a reception long agp and faces, she had not thought of in ages. The girl was too mature, and it seemed as if the artist had embellished both her dress and figure but the setting and the face of King Osrin were familiar.
The two men spoke an alien tongue but she knew their words, as they discussed the image and the mask. one man drew in a journal, as she looked through his eyes she saw a rough sketch of her long lost mask, the one that held the key to her prison.

Re: Cassandra House

She gasped as she saw the images, for she had just been seeking lost girls who needed help, and had had no thought of things so long ago. Things that brought pain to her heart and anger for her betrayal at the hands of those she should have been able to trust. Most of all, she missed her newly wed Beloved Owain. Only the agony of the attack by the assassin had allowed her hearts desire, but at such a cost! Still, she had been extremely happy to be able to wed her Beloved after the assassination attempt.
Tears ran down her face and she tried to wake up. Alas, her trance was too deep for waking easily.
Instead, she turned her gaze toward the other scene, concentrating on them instead.

Re: Cassandra House

On man was cold emotionless and detached, the other eager and full of passion beneath a thin layer of calm and reserve that kept it hidden. One viewed the scene with clinical precision while the other looked on in childish wonderment when his associate was not looking.
Her vision became transient as scenes of the memory garden the men walked in were joined by images of a floating jungle, islands shrouded in mist and fog, and a high citadel drifting among the heavy clouds of one of the upper reaches.
Her vision snapped into clarity once more on a young woman near by, one who could hear her voice, far from home and travelling with her companion mount. The girl did not seem lost or in danger but she was within a few minutes of the memory garden where the two men were in in the same time as the two men.
