Re: TIM's TO DO LIST :D

High priority:  Before they get any more lost, finding the various things written on note paper and writing copying it all down here so won't have to re-do effort.  For example: The phone number for the Leterkenny Township weer who's in charge of permits was written on a slip of paper.

Reminder: Wed.  Go to bank to stinge cash.

For the prop: Need to build a basic bucket toilet for next trip.  Look into how to make a door for the trailer.  Need a rust proof lock.  Need to take pics / video for Jack Kline to look at and advise on what equip is needed.  Add a craigslist tab for free stuff.  Watch for a good deal on a pickup truck or van.  Solar video for adding solar to camper.  Make sure camper's toilet works.  Research if it's a bad idea to leave water in the water tank during winter months.  Where's the nearest source of water in Waynesboro?

Nother thing worth looking into:  How long will the plywood on the trailer last?  Will painting it help extend it's life?

For delegation purposes:  Goro and Beards willing to make phone calls.  Seema willing to do internet research.

Re: TIM's TO DO LIST :D

Important fact: Under most conditions, breathing smoke from burning trash and human waste does not result in any significant risk to short- or long-term health.

This means we could set up a fireplace and burn the human waste. Don't necessarily NEED an oven. When I went on to read what medical concerns ARE there for being exposed to burning human waste, the main concerns were getting burned by the fire, or inhaling too much smoke. In other words, same concerns as any other fire.

Here's the source: http://www.burnpits360.org/upl...e%20%20%28313%29.pdf

Meanwhile, solar ovens seem to be super simple and not even electric in any way. At least, the cheap one I found: http://www.escapadedirect.com/solaroven.html

Could potentially build one.

For rust-proof locks: I thought I'd check and there are also Waterproof locks. Which, presumably, would be rust proof automatically, unless there's something other than water that causes rust. Would help me more to know what you need rust-proof locks for.

Re: TIM's TO DO LIST :D

Days are smaller lately. I helped mom pick up the RV, then got ready to walk with dad as agreed ahead of time, but David was there when I got back from RV stuff. :) We hung out for an hour, then walked David home. That single hour extra was just enough to leave JUST enough light left to barely scrape by putting the new bulbs in the porch light. Now it's dark and I can't caulk the camper. OK, so try researching the part the auto mechanic needed? This stuff is backwards Egyptian to me. But I gave it a shot. I don't know if this is the right part or not:

http://compare.ebay.com/like/3...emTypes&var=sbar

So I'll need to call the mechanic tomorrow and ask. :\ Seeing as how we barely managed to pick it up before the place closed, I certainly can't call him today.

As a side note, that walk convinced me it has gotten COLD. I thought I'd be fine with a walk. And I was. But with the sudden "we need to do porch light" ambush, by the time that was done, my face was numb (I was wearing plenty of warmities everywhere else). That said, I may try to caulk the RV earlier (like morning or something). Maybe you and I could do that together on one of your days off since we'll be trying to adjust our schedule to sleep and wake earlier anyway.

Re: TIM's TO DO LIST :D

Mittens:
TRUCKS OVER 2600 GVW PROHIBITED.  DOES RV COUNT???

Answer:

Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) is the actual weight of the fully loaded vehicle or trailer, including all cargo, fluids, passengers, and optional equipment, as measured by a scale.

If you are in a motor home and not towing anything, the GVW is the total weight of the RV and everything in it. If your RV is composed of more than one unit (towing a trailer or a vehicle), then the GVW is only part of the total.

For more, go to the website I got this from:
http://changingears.com/rv-sec...les-understand.shtml

My thought: Common sense says normally, YES it counts and they just put "trucks" because whoever made the sign figures that's just about the only vehicle that's going to weigh that much. Weight distribution being a consideration, a stretch limo weighs over 6000, but doesn't put the same kind of stress on the road as a truck of the same weight. But an RV puts similar stress on the road as a truck.

However, 2600 is incredibly light in the vehicle world. I would say any sign that says that is basically saying "No trucks" since I doubt there even exists a truck with less than 2 tons of GVW, based on the definition above.

Random fact:
The Presidential Limousine has an approximate weight of 14,000 to 16,000 pounds. All the armor and bullet proof glass are heavy!

Re: TIM's TO DO LIST :D

Level .01 to .75, "Beginnings tier"
- 99% of the population in this tier.
- Carla's early life.  We're not alone thinking that the gods must be crazy.  Carla born of the hopes of the people.
- Mittens spent most of her

Level 1-5 "heroic tier"
- One heroic can take out several Beginners.
- While there are tens of thousands of individuals in this tier, it's still only like 1% of the populus
- Carla gets the calling of an oracle at age 2.  Remains lvl 1 for a number of years.
- Would Tim would like to see happen in this tier: foreshadowing of everything ahead of us.  We HEAR about the paragons.  Getting to see that we're surpassing the heroic level noteworthy persons yet hearing "you'll never surpass the paragons."
- Mittens discovered her singing sword just as she reached level 1.
- We will earn our first titles in this tier.  For example, "Mittens the reckless."

Level 6-10 "paragon tier"
- 1 paragon can take a group of heroics easy.
- paragons said to take out entire guilds solo.  RL example: Pan King Fu "the gangbuster."
- There are at most a hundred in the entire world of this tier.
- This is where word really starts to spread about the heroes.  "Yeah right.  You're not Callista.  The REAL Callista is WAY more powerful."
- Upper paragon: Powerful enough as a group to overthrow a king.  Most monsters are boot buttons.
- Lvl 10: Carla gets her wings.

Level 11-15 "legendary tier"
- Most monsters are NAMED monsters.
- What defines legend?  At these levels, deserve to say "I slew a dragon."
- There are maybe a dozen in the mortal world of this level.  Example: Mystagon.  Carla heard about and looks up to him.  Presumed dead or a mythical metaphor.  Krendis: lvl 15.  Centuries old.
- Carla awakens as a full fledged angel.

Level 16-20 "ascension tier"
- Can take on Named dragons as a group.  You are now a demigod.  You do not age.
- Possibly 1 or 2 in the mortal world of this level when game began.

Level 21-25 "conquest tier"
- Fighting celestials.  Working toward overthrowing the gods.  Gain domains!

Level 26-30 "dominion tier"
- We am play gods.

Level 30+ "beyonder tier"
- What happens in this tier is a mystery.  :)

- Eventually, each character has their own entourage.  Mits' main minion is Jack.  Carla's sibs might be her exarchs.
- Each char has a signature move, favored weapon.  Mits is Change Job, kupo!  Jack is a singing sword!  Can transform.
-Players play the other players' arch nemesis.  And perhaps their exarchs.
-Wish lists for items, abilities, etc.
- Pick domains.  Mits: Adventure!  Fire!  Travel!  Favored weapon, longsword!  Dan: Earth!  Carla: ?  Callista: ?

Re: TIM's TO DO LIST :D

1) Game to be fun.
- to be fun, npcs must be dynamic, not static.
- game world must "feel alive"

2) Ajay suggestion.  Each NPC has his own opinion.  Every time they find out you agree, you gain brownie points with them.
 - a lot like the bioware, SW KOTOR and Mass Effect.
 - only tracked overall how much they like you, and romance score.

3) Rings of Power.  Had certain list of questions you ask any NPC, the answer was often, "I have nothing to say on that topic."
 - Could have "HE has nothing to say on that topic" instead.
 - Flirt: "They seem to like flirts," or "Dislike your flirts" to give generic responses.
 - Generic personalities with pat answers with slight deviations.'
-fight on sight. (see also Undertale, and Bioshock? Vault? )
- Name, a Class of the order of Level, greets.  His mood is Mood_Variable.
-- Name, a Age year old Race of the order of Level, greets.  His mood is Mood_Variable
-- Rick, a 20-something Human greets you.  He looks friendly and a pushover.
---- Smiles at you.  Frowns at you.  Scowls at you.  Head-tilts at you.  Shys away from you.
---- replace "says" with, "mews." if cat.  if mouse, "squeaks," and so on.  A$ "insert word here"
----- random moods.  so long as all PCs always crit sense motive.
- could fight, get along/ change mood of anybody.  the world felt like a Whole World.  it was an entire planet.  not just an island like in an mmo.  partly due to wrapping map.  also due to entering individual squares.  you could explore any square.
- day and night.

4) Quest for glory.  Could "ask about quest" "talk about quest" "flirt" "kiss" etc.  Every NPC.  Most got nothing, "This does not seem the right time to do that."

5) Undertale.  Where NPCs might evacuate dependant on your reputation.  Or fight on sight.

Variables to consider.  Reputation.  Story Points.  Relationship score(s).
Example.  Talk to June at start of story.  She answers, "Hi there!"  Talk to her middle of story, she answers, "Hey!  Have you heard about Villain doin Thing?"  Talk to her middle of story after flirting, she says, "Hey, hot stuff.  Have you heard about Villain doing Thing?"  Or after flirting, later she heard about slander and greets with, "Hi... Please tell me it's not true what they say about you."  If you didn't have any relationship with you, "She tries to avoid you."

Compliment, Flirt, and Insult.  Flirt eventually unlocks date.

17x20 tile screen.

How to keep track of all those NPCs and their individual relationship scores.
Each NPC has a unique SSN.  After the SSN is another number.  That is their Personality Number.  digit 1 represents their gender.  digit 2 represents their age.  digit 3 repepsents their age.  So on.  Finally digit 99 represents their opinion on genetic engineering.  whatever.  Third number repesents their interaction with you.  First digit represents, how much have you compimented?  2nd: how much have you flirted?  3rd: how much have you insulted?  4th: did you ever talk with them about your quest? and so forth.  The function that determins how they respond to you looks at the Personality Number and experience number, checks the personality database, and pulls out the pre-set response.

Database grid for each of the archetype personalities.

Well... I guess that's game for me then.

-Our party leader and primary healer is about to offer herself up.
-My bro's leaving the game because, well, he's dead.
-Setting us up against something way out of our league without turning it into a cutscene instead of outright killing a PC. :\

Yes, nobody tried to identify the thing that pulled the barge; it remained hidden and getting close to it meant you might get eaten (You can not identify something you can not hear or see). It was staying out of combat, staying under the water, and I presumed it just a beast of burden.

I do understand things making sense. However, a dragon's mere presence is enough to intimidate a sane group without chomping a PC.

Well it was fun. Take care.
