Re: bigehauser's Room

I am looking around, and cannot help but notice that it's...it's quite empty; drab even.

And a quote from Metallica's Wherever I May Roam as my bio.  That song about sums up my life for the past 5 years in the Army.

Re: bigehauser's Room

It appears I need to decorate this place.  At the least, get some good music to set the mood.

Re: bigehauser's Room

You know... when girls crawl around on all fours in front of soldiers, that tends to have quite an... effect... on them; amount of clothing being a factor as well.

I'm not sure about the music as of yet.  Perhaps a large Alex Grey poster over *there*, and my Afghan hookah right *there* atop the shin-high table; yes, we'll smoke it while sitting traditionally on the floor cushions.  Hmmm... give me a bit longer, and I will sort out these other possessions of mine.

Suggestions? Housewarming gifts?  Any other ideas?

I'm sorry, I shall stop crawling

how about a basket with cookies and a basket with silly string?

Re: bigehauser's Room

Ah good. No more crawling.  I am surprised you did not realize already that that sort of activity can be directly linked to Lordosis Behavior in the mind of a heterosexual male.  I digress.  I am not really a basket kind of guy.  Cookies put out here, I fear, would attract pests as well.  Silly string is just too much of just that; silly.

I suppose my writings and scribbling can go over on the shin-high table with the hookah to keep people occupied if I'm busy doing something.  I'll put a small rectangular cherry stained wood box over *there* next to the door where people will be asked to doff their shoes before entering.  I'll place several more cushions over *there* to the left of the windowed doors that lead to the balcony and outside world; sheer orange and light green curtains over the doors to let pleasant colors into the room.  The cushions can be brought to the table for more guests, though I doubt I'll have that many visitors.

The samovar can go next to the balcony doors, adjacent to the cushions.  I'll be sure to make tea when people visit, and have tobacco hashish at the ready for the hookah as well.  My WWII relics that I recovered from my time in Okinawa, Japan can go on the small waist-high shelf on the right side of the balcony doors.  I'll place a small Japanese dining ware closet next to the samovar for when I serve food.  The table and hookah will be cleared.  It's mostly plates, and rudimentary utensils.  We'll eat with our hands or chopsticks most of the time unless it's steak night; I like international variety having traveled abroad for so long.

I'll keep a wash basin with plumbing out on the balcony for hand and dish washing.

-sighs-  Well...I think that about does it for now. I have to keep thinking.
