Yes, I'm in Texas, which, I sometimes think is the Austrailia of America, for poisonous and dangerous critters.

*grins*  I'm actually a transplant, only here for the last eight years.   I'm from a farm up north, though, so I don't feel as foreign as I thought I would.

There are a number of Texan rpolers here, though.

Re: Dr . Aqua's Room

Yeah, I've been around the block with living areas. I just sort of got stuck here a while back and it grew on me. Texas can be quite a charming place at times...not so at others. But you gotta take the bad with the good. :P

Re: Dr . Aqua's Room

How did you get stuck there? Or is it private?

Re: Dr . Aqua's Room

Personal life stuff is usually kept private. Revealing my identity to the internet is usually not a good idea. But the short story is: school and a girl.

Agree with that, so that is good enough.

Do you get snow in the Wintertime? I hear some places do and don't in Texas.

Re: Dr . Aqua's Room

Pretty much everywhere in Texas ices in the winter. Northern areas get real snow for a short time. There's a saying in Texas: "If you don't like the weather...just wait 5 minutes."

With the exception of "blazing heat" in summer, every other weather pattern and phenomena here tends to shift pretty rapidly. Just the other day there was rain and hail so bad you couldn't see or hear further than 10 yards out the window. Two hours later: sunny clear quiet skies and three hours later it was blazing hot again. It's kinda crazy down here.

Re: Dr . Aqua's Room

I think every area of the country has the saying "if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes", but in Texas is definitely more accurate, that's true.  The weather is freakishly weird down here.
Texas is large enough, though, that the far northern areas get pretty cold and snowy in the winter.

I'm down here following someone who went to grad school at Texas A&M, and just haven't bothered to leave yet.   But I enjoy it so far.

Re: Dr . Aqua's Room

Thankfully I have only visited Taxas and not lived there. :P

I'm no longer moving every other month and back in GA for the time being. Really happy to be old enough to break off from my mother, moving almost every month got very old, very fast.

Re: Dr . Aqua's Room

She was a traveling nurse.

TL'DR: She got in trouble for leaving my sister and I alone at home while she was gone for months on end so she started taking us with her. My sister got lucky and broke off from this and lived with friends.

So yeah. lol \<.</

Sounds harsh. My family moved a lot when I was young. I've attended over 16 different schools in my lifetime (each in a different district). :P

It wasn't too bad. But I've noticed I became a clutter bug now that I can actually keep stuff that doesn't just fit in a suitcase. :P

If friends leave stuff at your place just sell in in a yard sale. They'll learn not to leave it. :P

Re: Dr . Aqua's Room

Yeah I sent a notice to everyone that they had a week to pick their items up from my house, with a list of said items or they'd be in my yard sale next weekend. And they could buy them from me or pick them up from GoodWill. ;>

That's their last notice after a month of them. <_< I might just keep the bed someone left here tho, it's nicer than mine still in its bag -_-

Re: Dr . Aqua's Room

I'd just sold it, then acted surprised if they'd ask

"It was yours? It was in my house, I just assumed I'd forgot I bought it, so I sold it, as it was an odd buy anyway"

*Grins*

Insult wrapped in a forgetfulness lie, nice?
