Re: Moving done and moving on

I seem to recall Nikolai's being 15DEC. If that wasn't already established I'd like to put it at as such.

For the record, is the buying of merits permitted during the time skip and/or at any point in the future?

I'm having the problem of distinctly too many potential things to get.

Re: Moving done and moving on

I'm going to give a tentative yes answer to the merits bit. I'm thinking it will depend on the merit you wish to purchase, and the final okay will come from the big boss.

Re: Moving done and moving on

Possibly Sanctum/Library/Hallow. I may instead just play out the acquiring of these things and use the 8xp towards something else.

edit: So, I'm definatly in on Prime 3.

Ideas after that:
Prime 4, Science 5 (with 7 points xp debt)
Prime 4, Space 1,
Prime 4, Socialize 2, Drive 1 (1 point xp debt)
Mind or Matter 2, Science 5, Drive 1
Matter 2, Mind 2, Drive 1

and it goes on and on and on.

Re: Moving done and moving on

Yes, Merits are fine.  Just let me know if you're not sure how you could have acquired them and we can work something out.

For the Merits you listed and even Prime training (if necessary -- don't remember), Palaemon might be able to help Nikolai out if he feels okay asking.

Re: Moving done and moving on

Mm....swiftly spent XP....

I'm figuring out what, exactly, to burn that on.  There's also a few scenes to touch on, as I said earlier, though most of those are David-centric.

As for to-do's?  Let's see....got to get Casey to choose a tribe, more investigation of Zathalok and its happyfuntime minions, territory stuff....yeah.

Also, Jack, there's a scene idea I had that is low-priority, concerning Shadow stuff that David & Jack discussed way back when.  I shall shoot you a PM about it posthaste.

Hope eveyone had a good Turkey Day, leastaways!

Damn it.  I need to check back on the thread before I post something long again.  Sorry.  I'll correct that in a second.

Re: Moving done and moving on

He'd have to be, more or less.

Born 1986, when the USSR was still strong, would put him at his 26th Birthday this year, meaning he'd have to be going to school for the last 8 years, without something else getting in the way.

Stupid ammount of thought goes into character design sometimes.

Aaaah.  Noted.

And Sereno's 22 (23 in September 2012), got a bit side-tracked by well, Durance and is dealing with stuff.  He could have graduated, but then realized that if he wanted to go home, suddenly having a degree would look suspicious.

Re: Moving done and moving on

Tis growing late here, so I will likely be turning in shortly. I assume David will be sticking with Casey for now.

Also, David is (as of the meetup) 25?  Five years in college puts him at 23, then a year with the Pickerings, before coming to Queen's Bay in the fall and a birthday a week earlier.

All I know is Q reminds me of Sereno's fashion sense a lot, and I'm tempted to have Sereno grow out his hair, which wouldn't help matters.

Everyone's feelings on that picture are proving to be accidentally perfect for how some people (read: mages) probably feel about him. XD

All I know is I really want Sereno mistaken for cosplaying Q one day while he's intending to go see Wreck-it-Ralph.

Anyway, I don't think Palaemon's picture is James Bond though...

Do people have good descriptions on hand?  I'm commissioning someone for full body sketches of the PCs, though it'll be each character alone.

Re: Moving done and moving on

Uh... dunno if I have one made up, but here's what I can come up with on the spot:

Jack Abraham is a bizarrely normal looking man. Standing at 5'11", weighing 170 pounds, he lacks any defining features or abnormal traits. With brown eyes, straight black hair, a tanned complexion and a fondness for suits and ties, one would never suspect that he was anything more than the career politician he was.

A few things signal that he is not entirely as he seems: he still has occasional back pain from the (almost) fatal gunshot wound that punctured his spinal cord; his eyes occasionally dart about, as though looking for something; and, of course, he sees dead people, talking to them when no one else is around. Additionally, he always carries two revolvers: the Colt .45 passed down from his father, and a gun of his own construction named Lucky Seven. Lucky Seven, as its name suggests, has seven chambers, alternating red and black, taking the appearance of a roulette wheel, each chamber emblazoned with one of the card suits. Yes, he does have a permit for it.

Jack's formal appearance contrasts heavily with his geist, Princess, a strange little girl in a frilly white dress that, upon closer inspection, appears to be empty. Stockings, slippers and long white gloves complete the approximation of a little girl's body, but without any flesh to give it shape. Her hair is shaped into beautiful Shirley Temple-esque curls, while her "face" is a completely blank mask, taking the shape of a face if it had no holes in it. The perfect whiteness is punctured by a single ragged hole over the left eye socket, through which shines a single baby blue eye.

He wasn't really planning on shooting her, but she's been... aggravating and borderline treacherous to Jack. He felt he needed to scare her.

And yes, this is new for him. Attaching a homicidal child to your soul will do that to you.
