Re: Thread II: Toran
The bounty huntress looked with surprise at Frost Ferret, but after a short moment, she shrugged.
"I'm not sure if you goin alone is a good idea, but you're the one with supernatural powers, so if you think you'll be alright on your own, I guess that's how it is."
The woman got up, picking her pack as well, and then whistled, making Brook move to her side, before nodding.
"Let's go."
After that, the group quickly left the inn, and it didn't take long to reach the heart of the commercial area - the inn itself was laready located just on the outskirt of it, after all.
Ok, you're in the commercial area now, so there's three different places you can go to.
1 - First of all is Market Plaza, which hosts the open air stands manned by the non Toranese merchants - this is the area where Alyne bought her new, shimmering cloak and where Sabre Fox spoke with his friend, the Dessi merchant. If you decide to stay in this area, you'll have to tell me what your looking for and likely make some rolls, depending on what's your goal. You might find some potions and weapons here; however, you won't find anything magical, and I should make it clear that the only potions that can be found in this area are those that Toran's magicians don't produce, and any weapon you find would likely be exotic - as are most of the goods on sale in this area.
2 - The second option is to go to one of the actual shops that litters the area, and see if there's something in particular that you want to find. I shall point out that you won't find weapon shops, nor any merchant treating in magic stuff - selling magic items outside of the magic quarter is illegal in Toran (whith the only exception of potions that the Brotherhood can't produce), and the majority of the weapons are sold in the industrial sector, where the blacksmiths live.
3 - Lastly, there's the option Shark is likely going to prefer - there's lot of hawkers and peddlers that wander Toran's commercial area; they're usually people with no day job and that spend their spare time begging, and it wouldn't be uncommon for some to be carrying illegal goods, too. And obviously, hunting down a couple of these might allow a person with the right contacts to gather some information of were people of interest might be... ^_^
I shall add that, if Frost Ferret wants to break away from the group earlier, then he's free of having left you lot before you reached this area to head for the Magic Quarter - and if so, you might want to give him a list of what you want him to buy in an OOC line. Otherwise, Frost, if you'd like to get a tour of the Commercial Area first, you're free to join the others and break away from the group later on; just let us know! :D
