GM NOTE: this post was written by Dusk Rat, but since she can't open a thread, I needed to post it for her - it is the reason we were all waiting. Everybody, welcome to Thread II! Let's start with a bang, shall we? ;)

Dusk Rat entered the inn, but barely paused before walking through the main room and the glass door to the garden; she completely ignored the female magician, and when Taolor seemed about to say something, she just glared murderously at him, making him move aside without needing to speak a word.

She was walking slowly, clearly tired, and her left hand was wrapped in a white cloth - whether by coincidence or otherwise, the white sash that she uses to mark herself as a Kai was gone from its usual place around her waist. Since her clothes were dark in colour, it might be difficult at first glance to notice that they were clearly stained in something, most likely the same substance that could be seen on her hands and splattered on her face - something worryingly red in colour. This was less true of her lower legs and the bottom of her cloak, which looked as though they've been dragged through mud, or water, or something.

Though she wasn't limping or otherwise displaying any particular sign of injury (other than the bound hand), Dusk Rat walked to the nearest unoccupied spot at the table where most of the group was, and sat down rather heavily. She took out her knife, which was stained like the rest of her, and started to absently rub it clean with one corner of her filthy cloak. She didn't bother to look up or acknowledge anyone around her.

Yaaay, fuzzle-girl is baaaack ;).

Sun Snake's head snapped up a moment before the door opened. "Dusk Rat," he said with an odd mix of emotions before their absent member came back to them.



"What happened?" asked Sun Snake, knowing their fellow Kai was in pain. He was still startled, and it took him a moment to shrug his pack from his back and start looking through it for the healing items Sabre Fox had given to him.


There's an Enhanced Laumspur potion for you that restores 6Ep and 2Wp if you want it, Dusk Rat. Depending if you would acknowledge Snake, of course :)

Swift looked up as Shark spoke to her.
She glanced down at the carvings on the table with an expression that suggested she'd forgotten they were there then shrugged.
"Just doodling.  Maybe remembering who I used to be once" she remarked cryptically.
Before either Swift or Shark could comment further on that though, she looked up as the door leading back to the inn opened and Dusk Rat walked in.

A distinct look of relief passed across Swift's face, quickly followed by one of her rare smiles.
"Welcome back.  We were beginning to worry that we'd lost you" she said.
