Re: OOC: fifth column

I got a cat dumped on my plate...  And me a vegetarian too, hehe.

A friend talked me into looking after her cat while she was out of the country for two weeks, and she's a clingy one that wants me to stay with her all the time while I try to get through two weeks without letting her accidentally kill herself on something, so I might be slow to respond sometimes, but I'll still check in every day if I can :)

Re: OOC: fifth column

I love cats, but yeah, when they're new to a person, they can be an handful, so I sympathize with your situation, Swift! :)

In the vein of making some smalle talk, what is your opinion of Sylon on the creepiness factor? Do you think he bests your character, or that Swift's story still helds the edge? ^_^

Re: OOC: fifth column

Hmm, I'm not sure.  They're not exactly the same, but there are some similarities in there.
They both seem to have their own brand of creepiness :)

I think that's why her emotions towards him are kind of conflicted.

Maybe she's completely wrong about him though, I can't tell until we get to meet his leader, assuming we ever do.

I'm not sure how much of Swift's story he knows either.  He certainly seems to underestimate her, I get the impression he thinks she's just some emo little kid who couldn't possibly have gone through anything as bad as he has.  Maybe he just thinks that way of everyone though.

Looks like they both have a weapon with a bad reputation too ;)
Wonder if Wol-Dumar will be interested in a couple more cursed blades for his collection?  *evil grin*

Re: OOC: fifth column

Sylon's sword story was fantastically creepy, I should have commented on that earlier :) I wish Sun Snake had been there to pontificate :D

Shame Sabre didn't finsih his post, he said he was waiting for Snake's next comment then didn't get back to weigh in :(

Edit: And in terms of scary posting, we were still on 003 at lunchtime, then we jumped six posts in five hours after an absense of posting!

Yeah, Shark, good luck to you too on your work! ^_^

And I am happy I managed to make Sylon suitably creepy, although personally I still think Swift's story still wins out in the creepy factor - especially if she manages to learn all of it. ;D

As for Wol-Dumnar, I'd say he's always interested into getting new weapons... the matter is if their owner would let these two go! :)

Re: OOC: fifth column

Yeah I was hoping the story behind Swift's one-shot-kill dagger would creep someone out but I think everyone just expects her to have creepy things by now :)

At least I didn't give her a necklace of severed ears or something equally overdramatic ;)

Not sure if her full story will be the suitably creepy revelation that I'm hoping for, assuming anyone manages to figure it out (if they haven't already!)

I like Sylon's story though :)  Certainly explains why he's as messed up as he is.

Good luck with the paperwork and fishies Shark :)  (Just be careful not to get them mixed up and start writing stuff on the fish!)
Also, will there be more fish and booze involved too? :)

Re: OOC: fifth column

Hi all.... it's been pretty quiet here lately.

Swift Fox, Dusk Rat, is there any reason you aren't posting in your thread? Something you need me to do? I know that the stop in the Maakengorge thread is my fault for having put Rain in the situation where she was alone - I'm going to give her a bit more time, then I'll be forced to push things forward there even if it will be unfair to her - but, you of the Toran team aren't stopped, so I'm confused as to why you aren't posting. Can you explain me the reason?

I think I posted in response to Sylon leaving but then nothing's happened after that which Dusk Rat would react to. Basically, I was waiting for someone else to post something ;).

Ah well, I doubt I'll last much longer without WP, especially if there are nasty things around.
And none of the others seem to want it...
I'll wait a little while to see if anyone else wants it first.  Last chance folks :)  hehe.

Re: OOC: fifth column

Dusk Rat, to answer your question, the wolves are south-west of your current position, so vaguely south of the area you're heading for; also, your sensory range is nearly three miles wide (that's about 4.5 km), which should give you an approximate idea of how far away they are from your position.

Re: OOC: fifth column

Okay...so erm, which direction are we actually travelling? And how big is the forest? And where is it in relation to Toran? And anything else that might be important :D.
Btw, I'm getting "nearly at the 1000 post limit" messages in this thread. Nearly time to create Sixth Sense, or whatever you were gonna call it ;).

Re: OOC: fifth column

You're going west, Dusk Rat - you can go the game rules thread and check the maps: you're moving from Toran toward the Durncrags mountains. It's between four and five days of travel, depending on speed, and mostly all of the area is forested.

I'll wait a bit to give Frost a chance to post his input before I make one of my own. :)

As for the new thread, this is post # 962 - we have thirty more before I start the next thread. ^_^

I wonder too... or perhaps Blue Snake's last post was meant to make you wonder? ^_^

Also, exclusively for Shark benefit, I shall point out that the Maakengorge team is currently about one hour from dawn. I'm sure she'll be able to better value the meaning of that than any of you currently can! :D
