Re: OOC: fifth column
It's actually an history reference, which I would guess any other subsequent reference in various works of art calls back to, as it was at the beginning of the last century. Specifically, it's a reference on how Franco took power in Spain - he attacked Madrid with four column of infantry and, when the royal forces moved to fight those, he sent oders for his fifth column, who'd been in hiding inside the city, to revolt, thus making him win.
I know it's been referenced in many works of art - although I wasn't aware it'd been used in V - and I can see why, too; I choose to reference it both to keep up the naming theme I've established, and because it seemed appropriate to the game in general.
Does that helps? ^_^
