Re: OOC: seventh sense

:) It happens... you will hopefully see the results when the time comes!

As for us being quiet, we're waiting on Rain and Shark respectively, both of whom have asked us to wait a bit for them since they're having RL related delays... I'm sure the game will speed up again very soon! ^_^

No worries.  Been kind of busy with stuff RL is throwing at me lately, so it's the perfect time for a short break :)

Yup, setting everything alight is awesome! Now to see if Dusk Rat wants to contribute anything to this, and then I'll decide if there's any need to roll.

Re: OOC: seventh sense

Wondering if I could make all those now-very-paranoid giaks attack that Vordak that's suspicious of us...
Curious to see just how much utter carnage we can cause in this place before they figure out that someone's messing with them ;)

Re: OOC: seventh sense

Well, they might if something else attacks it first, like, say, a Doomwolf... then gain, if Shark's ploy works, the Vordak might well just burn to ashes before anything like that can happen.

Speaking of doomwolves, Dusk Rat, I meant to say that you might want to add your distraction to Shark's at this point - I will then make a post to detail the results of your combined efforts.

Of course, if you're certain you're not going to add anything to Shark's distraction, say so, and I will resolve Shark's effort on its own. That's what I was asking for! ^_^

Re: OOC: seventh sense

If you wanted to spook a Giak... wouldn't you just have to have the ability to sneak up on one and also know the Giak word for "boo"?

Yeah, that sounds like it would work... but I still think the fire will scare them better. :)

Re: OOC: seventh sense

Sneaking up and shouting "boo" will probably scare them.
Setting them on fire is more fun though, hehe :)

Re: OOC: seventh sense

True, but either you'll scare them so bad they'll flee, or you'll just remind them that they haven't eaten yet today and they'll stick around to snack on the dead ones.

Re: OOC: seventh sense

I sort of meant that I've already started the doomwolves off on feeling twitchy, and Shark's last post was basically "I aim magic at the torches to make them burn more" or words to that effect. So the effect of that magic hasn't shown itself yet, so I don't know what to get the doomwolves to do because nothing further has happened just yet. It won't until the fire goes off, at which point I can go "Okay, now I'll get the wolfies to do this...".

Although I can't read what's being said in Team Snake's thread there, I'm getting a definite rather creepy vibe from it... ;)

Creepy indeed!

To change the subject, I'm going to be on limited posting (ish) from now until Wednesday. Hope that doesn't slow anything down!

Re: OOC: seventh sense

Sorry about not being around- had to run home.  Apparently my grandmother needs surgery, and she's in her eighties.  Kind of a little worried, wasn't in a condition to post- we're very close.

Re: OOC: seventh sense

Thanks for the well-wishes, Snake. :)  The surgery isn't until next Thursday- after Memorial Day- so there's a good chance I might be out with the family all weekend.  I'll try to get posts in where I can, though.

I can still post now, thank anything- I might just be hard to get ahold of the week after Memorial Day. :)  But it's really good to know I have friends like you guys I can count on for this.  Thanks to all of you!

We've lost our leading man to wandering around corridors anyway, so take all the time you need. I'll try not to have Snake bite your character's head off in the meantime! :p

Hope the rest of the family's ok too, of course. Must be a weird time all around :(

Re: OOC: seventh sense

Ok, double time system message! :D

For the Maakengorge Thread: Sabre and Sun Snake, are you ok with theb layout Rain suggested? Or do you want to do things differently?

For the Darklands thread: Shark has said to me that she had a very full week and couldn't post, so we've been waiting for her. However, considering that the game is been on pause for almost week on your thread, I've decided that I'll let Swift (as team leader) roll in Shark's stead - given that three of you have used your post to reduce the DC down to 1 anyway, only a roll of 0 would be considered a failure on this task. That means the roll is just a formality, hence why I feel ok with having Swift roll for it - I'm sure Shark would agree that it's a good thing to keep the game going.

Does anybody has anything against that?

I'm making this post because there have been pratically no posts in the last two days, and as you all know very well by now, I get anxious when the game seems to be stopping... even when I know it's just a temporary slow down. Please forgive me, everybody! ^_^
